hey creative been mining for 4 hrs and only have 261 confirmed and 1229 unconfirmed.  this has been painfully slow progress.  why is it taking soo long to confirm the blocks.  yes i know it got split in half but damn 261 confirms for 4 hrs is ridiculous...

Just in case people didn't know, you can go to Cryptsy and open a support ticket requesting a new coin to be added. They just close the ticket once they get it, but I'm pretty sure they choose which one to add next based on volume!

You should not use the rest of the premined coins to give to this crypto community. If you want the coin to truly spread do a giveaway on some other non crypto based forum or some other media outlet whether social media or anything.

If the coins are in the publics hands befoe it ever hits an exchange the coin will o well IMO

These giveaways are simply too much and inflating the entire currency.

Mining the most profitable currency gives you around $10/1000Khash/Day. Before the block reward reduction from 16k to 8k, you could make roughly about 40k DGB/1000khash/day.

So doing 50k giveaways means that you are throwing around more than USD $10!!!

Nobody is interested to pay that much for those coins when they are thrown around like that as giveaways. I was mining from day 1 and got 150k DGB but just going for giveaways would probably have given me more.

I am disappointed. Stop the giveaways to let the value increase or reduce them to 1k!

Btw, you can also find me as voiced moderator (Jan1503) in the IRC chan and I keep spreading the word.

The past giveaway will be the last one that high. We did that to get DGB into the hands of over 1,000 people in the first few days. We have achieved that and will now start using the rest for incentives for merchants & developers. We realize for DGB to get on an exchange we cannot undermine the coins value. We also realize larger giveaways from this point forward will be a dis-service to the miners behind the network as several of them have mentioned it to us. Now let the trading begin!
