Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Honestly, I would rather see more languages/expansion of the coin more then exchanges.  It's human nature that a part of the people doing this will dump and move on.

This community is awesome, I'm glad to be part of it. Looking forward to the future developments from this great team. This has been one of the most fair launches I've seen in months. Great job guys.

Keep spreading the word about DGB!

Has anyone compiled the wallet locally on ubuntu?

git clone source(from github)
cd digibyte/src
make -f makefile.unix digibyted

Having issues getting this to compile properly, so it creates a .digibyte folder so the daemon/wallet can be run on the command line.

What exactly are the errors?  Its likely a dependency issue.  You can pm me and when I get some time in a bit I'll give you a hand

I'm going to buy a mining rig with 4 280x, I already bought one from sapphire, but now sapphire are sold out everywhere. Will it cause any problems if I buy the other three produced by gigabyte?

Interesting coin. I'll have to keep my eye on it. If there's a giveaway going on, it'd be nice to get some.
