Been playing MineThatDigi all day today! Very impressive playercount so far (been in 80s all day). What's going to make or break this server is its ability to get a general minecraft audience involved. I'm sure admins have stuff planned down the road for this. Other issue is no player-to-player economy established (as far as I'm aware) but that is supposedly being implemented soon. Would be really great to see a high velocity DGB economy on a minecraft server!

Nice that you like it. I discovered the version before and that way came into contact with the owner. I have given some feedback and your feedback to the developers curious where this is going. They are working on improvements they will update in the following days also the forum will go up soon. I also think the player count will motivate them to work harder.

Cool, thanks. Also, there seems to be a huge issue taking place on the server right now. Supposedly a bunch of people are duping via suicide and selling emeralds to the shop. All the staff seems to be offline. Plays are upset that this will most likely lead to a map wipe.

I don't think a server wipe is needed exploiters can by reset. We can see how much players have earned. It will all get fixed they are busy today and monitoring. I am happy the server can hold all the players. Remember that this are students with free time and passion on this project. They got vacation now so they will put a lot off work into this project to ensure everything works well. You can also advertise on the server.

Why even bother linking this crap?  TLDR version is someone tried to make a quick buck, bought at the extreme end of a huuuge rise without properly looking at things themselves, admits they did so based on hype from a variety of non-official sources, then didn't get out early enough and got butt-hurt. If they hold, price will rise again, but they have to go post about their stupid trading technique in some self-defeating reddit post.

A smart person would realize that trying to hurt DGB would be just shooting themselves in the foot, but this poster isn't even smart enough to realize that. Boring.
There were a number of people who bought in the past & suffered the same thing. Foolishly sold at around 60-80 Satoshis to cut & run, now look where the price is lol.

It´s maybe the algo that´s the problem. You could test Solo Mining using Scrypt Algo with your GPU - or install Wallet 4.0.3 on another Computer and sync this Wallet using "addnode=ip adress of your 6.14.2" for a real fast sync and test this. One problem could be Segwit as the the old wallet dosn´t support Segwit.

Thanks for the input, hallo_frosch. I was using skein when I tried it, and it seems weird that the server wouldn't work with all algos, but it's worth a try anyways. Gonna test it when I have the time. I had to go back to 4.0.3 to solo mine, no issues with that version.

Totally agree. Or it's people who sold & hoping to buy back at lower price. People don't rant and rave without a reason (or an objective).

DigiByte is rare in the fact that despite being an older coin it has never lost value in the long term. If you look at other alts such as Doge (not to pick on it, just as an example), it used to trade much higher than it currently does. DigiByte has its waves of course, but it continues to set ATHs. I agree to just hold & wait and it will come back. This Citi challenge isn't over yet, and plenty of other positives as well.

It did not fail, none of the presentations there did. For one being invited to do these presentations were already a small win, being invited to private talks are a bigger win and even those whose only target is winning the grand price(s) didn't fail yet because the winner(s) are still to be announced.

Why the fall? Like almost every time a coin, or stock for that matter, taking off in a market it generated a hype, further fueled by those having a use for a nice pump, and carried by that it overshot it's real price target by quite a margin. That the whole market went bonkers with new money didn't exactly help there as well. The good news is dropping down in a free fall like this is it'll very likely overshoot, or overshot already, again, downwards this time and the market is still full of money looking for place to settle down. The bad news is, noone really knows where that stable price point actually is. The ones telling anyone to sell, or not to buy yet, want to buy cheaper and/or the ones now fueling the dump. The ones telling to hold already did buy and want the price to hold now because else they bought too soon.
