The total amount will always be equal to 21 billion. The algorithm switch would only be to support multiple methods of mining (securing the network) and preventing ASICS's from mining as far as I understand.

You need to clarify some things for yourself...

Is DGB good coin for you or not? (I mean in a technical way (code, community, progress, etc.), not opinion based on current price) Why is or isn't it good for you?
What would need to happen for you to change your mind? (again technically not price - wise)

So after you have these two questions answered then your actions are pretty clear
- if you think it's a good coin, then buy it (lower the price better the deal Smiley )
- if it's not good dump it and forget about it
simple as that...

And of course, you need to invest according to basic investment rules (never invest more than you can afford, buy low sell high, don't panic after every move, don't put all eggs in one basket, know what you are investing into etc.)

Me too  Roll Eyes

A coin with an active community, continuous development, technology that allows the creation of smart contracts, centralized and decentralized applications...

It's sad as for many, a good coin is just a matter of price ...

Take a look at this interview with the founder, to see how outdated technology is: https://decryptmedia.com/6005/jared-tate-digibyte-interview-news

Translations from English to Portuguese at affordable prices. Send me a PM here on the forum or contact me via Telegram: @cryptoheart

There is no such thing as outdated tech here in CRYPTO!!! That's blasphemy lol...jk. Nah being real here, DGB is just a different kind of Crypto in a sea of Crypto's. This space is still way way young and I been around it a long time enough to know this, stick with proven coins with strong communities and active development. Every project does things different or builds on each other but coins that been around awhile are never old Tech to turn our backs on.

I have a feeling, DGB will have its moment, why I tend to mine up for it now and then and save back. Price dips are just apart of the space, BTC goes up, fluctuation on smaller cap coins and rinse and repeat. This coin I have less worries of in my portfolio....but the key is to only back what you feel right about, how you survive in this game
