I don't have much hashrate compared to those of you big guys out there, but I now feel like I've contributed because I finally found a block.

But wait, I checked my logfiles and it wasn't just one, it was TWO blocks overnight!!!

That's what we want! Make sure the mining community is generating ROI and we can continue to push DGB as a leader! Very exciting times! Price of DGB is SUPER CHEAP!

hello guys

i'm currently helping a friend update his p2pool server to allow support of all the algos.

if i understood everything correctly, the idea is we need to have 1 wallet running / algo
then this would be backed up by a p2pool for each, thx to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=408268.msg8445152#msg8445152
it should be easy.

but i'm hitting a wall atm.

so far, i've compiled, installed and syncd the scrypt wallet, everything is OK
but when i run the p2pool, i endup with this:

i also tried with Rav3n p2pool, result is the same

currently i have tested on:
debian (wheezy)32bit (on a VM) => wallet doesn't compile
debian (wheezy)64bit (on a VM) => result as above picture
ubuntu server 64 (14.01) (on a VM) => result as above picture
debian (wheezy)64bit (on the server) => result as above picture

four time the work equals four time the fun right?  Grin

what i got when i start the command is (username and address edited ofc):
Code:
:~/dgbscrypt# python run_p2pool.py --give-author 0 --net digibyteScrypt MYUSERNAME MYPASSWD --fee 1.0 --address MYADDRESS

after the wallet was compiled and syncd, i just ran the following:

Code:
apt-get update && apt-get install python-zope.interface python-twisted python-twisted-web
git clone git://github.com/birdonwheels5/p2pool-dgbScrypt.git dgbscrypt
cd dgbscrypt/litecoin_scrypt/ && python setup.py install
cd ../digibyte_subsidy/ && python setup.py install
cd ~

then i tested it, with no luck Cry Cry

maybe i'm missing something here, but i fail to see what, so if any of you guys have any idea, you would be very welcome!  Kiss
Bump,
he is helping me as we always have the same problem... wallet synced but p2pool not working.. Any help would be appreciated to have the server running again Smiley

I used the
https://github.com/Rav3nPL/p2pool-rav.git
there is also the digibyte and litecoin subsidy stuff, so just used that one.
for web interface, used https://github.com/johndoe75/p2pool-node-status.git

maybe it's just the web gui that is not showing any information.
in the p2pool directory, there is a data/digibyte/log file
does that one show more information ?

We may have found the problem, Upnp is disabled by default. After reactivating upnp, p2pool seems to works, still doing some tests, will update the post if everything is solved.

Morning all,

Getting back in action.  Sending more btc to nicehash so maybe we could find the block today?

Getting 1 gh/s for a couple of hours.

O and while it's so cheap right now i will buy some more @ cryptsty Cheesy

,24

I had an order from August 8 in on Cryptsy to buy 200k DGB at 33 satoshi, and it went through overnight, yay. Seems like most of the people helping us mine are selling it right away.

Not me, haven't sold any since my initial buy in when the coin was released. I normally split my mining between 5 or 6 coins, DGB being one of those. I don't P&D coins so I have to be very selective about which ones get my hash but in the long run, I think it's the best way to go, (for me), even though you eat the cost up front, the back end will be worth it...

And, on another topic, I have never seen a wallet update as fast as the DBG wallet is right now. I tend to set my payouts from pools to small amounts and when I open the DGB wallet, it syncs so damn fast I can't keep up with it! Literally only seconds to log 50 to 100 transactions. Nice work on the wallet guys!

Like the way youre going with youre investments.
I never sold any DGB and i think this will never happen in the near future, I will use them,,, in longterm vision.

I totally agree with you, the wallet is the fastest i have used and tested,a real important thing for incoming merchants,users and investments.

But that should not be a problem.
Outgoing connections do not need upnp.
I compile always without UPNP, and disable upnp in the p2pool start parameters.
On the other hand, I have NAT for the necessary ports active, sure.
