Volume is under 1 BTC and the price is down to 16 satoshi! Who would have ever thought? Still believe this is the best long term play. YC I read this forum every day since the creation of digibyte, mined every day since the creation of digibyte, bought some digibyte. But most of all i believe in digibyte to be the nr. 1 altcoin.
I never respond on this forum, but I really think digibyte need to take some action. Every day so mutch coin's are generated that it has to much effect on the market right now, can you do something about this? A limit or something?
Everyone keeps mentioning the number of coins being mined. The number of coins isn't the problem. Look at DOGE...they have 65 times the number of coins and they have a higher per-coin value. Here's the problem as I see it: Sorry, this may sound a little blunt - Digibyte can't be used for anything except a few fringe merchant websites that nobody needs or has ever heard of. There needs to be some sort of reason for people to accept/use Digibyte. Until that happens, the coin value will stay at these levels (or lower). I've only been mining for about 10 months (DGB for about 5 months). It's a very interesting, annoying, exciting, (insert adjective here), and frustrating hobby. I can just repeat myself: it's all about the trading volume. As long as it stays under the daily coin production equivalent the price (around 3BTC) will fall. I still have my hopes and waiting for miracle. We are working hard on making some things happen in the real world for DigiByte as we speak! The price will come with time after we have publicly announced some of the things we are working on in the back ground right now. We have a vision, we have a plan and we have been working toward the same goals since the day DigiByte was launched. We are well on our way to achieving this goal & now has never been a better time to buy ( we are buying ourselves) We are on our way to Japan & China at the moment to meet with our partners/investors to get the ball rolling on some very exciting international developments for DigiByte. Updates & replies to messages for the next couple days will be intermittent as it is a long way to travel. Please note we are here and a lot of people, including people new to DigiByte are working hard in the background to make things happen. Thank you all again for your support!

I'm curious what comes out. The past of DigiByte just a story we tell ourselves. Keep positiv. Keep creative. I just wrote to http://www.cryptaxe.com/?page_id=279. Maybe he can get DGB more easy and simple like it should. In future everyone can just mine few DGB with their home rigs. A nice and easy GUI just for mining DGB and securing the network would be nice. On the other side we should look also to the gaming community. They got the hardware. Maybe online hardware shops and games platforms such as Steam or Origin. With indie games I could imagine that a fast payment system as Digibyte would have many benefits for the individual player.

The next few months are going to be interesting. A lot of consolidation is happening in the industry and it will cause other miners to look for solution elsewhere. The coin production should stabilize since DGB was off the grid for a bit. The existing miners will either sell (causing a short term dip) and then decide to hold or go to another coin. They key will be the marketing. Just need to continue pushing to news outlets and seeing what the roadmap is to get larger merchants onboard. YC Volume is under 1 BTC and the price is down to 16 satoshi! Who would have ever thought? Still believe this is the best long term play. Maybe online hardware shops and games platforms such as Steam or Origin. With indie games I could imagine that a fast payment system as Digibyte would have many benefits for the individual player. It might be worthwhile to organize some kind of gamer related contest where the winner gets a stash of Digibyte or a new Flagship Video card as the prize. Its serves several functions. 1. Gets the word out to gamers about Digibyte and cryptocurrency - Why should they use digibyte? Why should they care? 2. Educate that particular demographic about how to earn, mine or spend Digibyte in various places. Many avid gamers have the hardware to mine Digibyte, so show them how to put it to use! 3. It wouldn't hurt to cross promote Digibyte with the release of the new upcoming graphics card chipsets. Nvidia and AMD. 4. Get Reddit and other communities in on it to help spread the word. Also come to think of it. The digiman hasn't been used for much promotion as of yet. Perhaps some creative type could do a Digiman skin for various games that allow mods? I am just trying to think out of the box here.

Start point data was based on money supply and block reward as of today, and the projections are based on the 0.5% block reward reduction every 10,080 blocks and the assumption that the smoothed, long term block discovery rate equals current rates.

Thanks for asking. I thought it was evident, but by the looks of the lack of response, I think you were not alone in wondering. I've also edited the original to include that information.
