I too am going to rent a dedicated server, take a domain name for qubitcoin. I plan to make a news feed in the form of blog posts, and create a pool.

Thanks johnywalker, we will add it. I have noticed that a lot of people is still using previous version of the Wallet (0.8.4.1). Please download the latest one 0.8.4.2 and use it so we are all on the same page. You don't have to install anything just replace the .exe file but to make sure your wallet.dat file is safe, make a backup first. Welcome newcomers, tell your parents that qubitcoin still alive qubitcoin bbtalk user not logged in on the account for months 0.8.4.2 >> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=576815.0ps. I do not think that changes in the wallet affect the stability of the network, at any time stuck wallet, a very higher block;]

I have some strange problem with my QubitCoin wallet. According the log file I receive blocks normally:
CheckSyncCheckpoint: nHeight=820792, hashSyncCheckpoint=0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 ProcessBlock: ACCEPTED received block 00000001bc730c14fb0eba8ef47ce0701150d44b81c98007c8d3742ef3d4eafa CheckSyncCheckpoint: nHeight=820793, hashSyncCheckpoint=0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 ProcessBlock: ACCEPTED received block 000000019db371463c4017c364da272214c422b06ca3f9b4a4a1afd609700909 CheckSyncCheckpoint: nHeight=820794, hashSyncCheckpoint=0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 ProcessBlock: ACCEPTED received block 0000000254e4eb6028bfc7ed2cdb9ce27a4fe078f921b8b40c246270cd94a72c CheckSyncCheckpoint: nHeight=820795, hashSyncCheckpoint=0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 ProcessBlock: ACCEPTED received block 000000014c16f65fc6852e51334f68aded3eb5212e893e3983613247203dac16 CheckSyncCheckpoint: nHeight=820796, hashSyncCheckpoint=0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 ProcessBlock: ACCEPTED
But the block count does still not update but stays in 552296 (14 weeks behind):
{ "version" : 80402, "protocolversion" : 70001, "walletversion" : 60000, "balance" : xxxx, "blocks" : 552296, "timeoffset" : 0, "connections" : 5, "proxy" : "", "difficulty" : 51.17298260, "testnet" : false, "keypoololdest" : 1389782948, "keypoolsize" : 101, "paytxfee" : 0.00000000, "errors" : "" }
I have tested both versions 0.8.4.1 and 0.8.4.2 with no luck.

It looks like that "-reindex" fixed my problem so I did not need to download the whole blockchain from scratch
