.... i just got informed that the dude used bot is one of us here ... not a hater or something he just wanted to see q2c on minpal ... more info to come

so anyone like my idea about giving steam codes for q2c ....we can make a thread about it ..looking for a parter with paypal account and willing to do this

.... or i will just wait for krecu ...
i think that is a great idea, and i dont think that we need to wait for krecu,  we need to continue to promote coin and raise itd value, and im sure that krecu vould agree.

i posted the idea few pages earlier ... no one was intersted ... idk why no one want to ... its a win win trade ..

lets say steam code for 5$ at the time of trade  = 10000 q2c    we make price like 10300     like more 3%

so its up to you where u sell that amount or keep it ....

alot of people don't have access to paypal ..or steamcodes ... BUT they have btc or q2c ...

Maybe you can sell iTunes Gift Cards too.

I don't think that nobody is interested. We've had a lot of trouble yesterday (because of the MintPal botter) and most of us focused on that topic. Now as the problems are solved, we can look forward and think about interesting ideas like yours.

So, do you know a shop where you could buy steam or iTunes cards with Paypal?

For example iTunes Store sells iTunes cards with Paypal. If I understood right kahir's idea was to start to sell those cards with QubitCoins.

That wasn't a real pump, price went to 130 for few minutes and go back to "normal" around ~80 sat  Sad
This coin is worth minimum 200-300sat. It's totally undervalued right now. Keep voting on mintpal! https://www.mintpal.com/voting
Maybe next week we will hit mintpal, halving will be in 4 days so price should go up!

I'm planning to setup a faucet for MintPal voting. Because the voting is only allowed for registered MintPal users with at least 1 order, there needs to be 2 faucets:

(1) Q2C faucet for users who are already on MintPal and give their vote for us
(2) BC or DOGE faucet for users who don't have a MintPal account yet. They could register there and get a BC/DOGE starting bonus into their MintPal wallet so they are able to do the first order. Then they can vote for Q2C. Further support could be then rewarded with (1).

What do you think?

I think it is a good idea. We must have a faucet.

2) Make a donation in the amount of 4-5 BTC.

OMG, 11 satoshi?!?! Where?? Need to buy them!! All of them!  Grin

I'm in contact with the admin from http://earncryptocoins.com to get a faucet for Q2C and BC (BlackCoin - giveaway for new MintPal users to make the first order that is needed to make votes).

The idea with codes or cards is very interesting. Anybody here who has a PayPal account and enough time to do that?
A shop script would be great for that. Does anybody know somethink like that?

Good to hear that :-)
The faucet should encourage people to vote for Q2C on MintPal. They can vote every hour, so the faucet should also allow a withdrawal once an hour. But I think, a giveaway between 50 and 100 Q2C would be more appropiate. Nobody would do that work for just 1 Q2C ;-)

I would make a larger donation (thinking about 100k) to your faucet once you've set it up and it is working.

100 Q2C - a nice reward
and how to verify that the person voted?

and how to verify that the person voted?

That would be the problem. We have no chance to verify whether if the person voted or not.
The only way would be something like:
1) The user opens the faucet and clicks on "vote now". The faucet looks for the Q2C vote count on MintPal and saves that. A MintPal popup will be opened for the user
2) The user has to put his votes for Q2C and then close that window
3) The faucet checks the Q2C vote count again and if there is an increase, the user can enter his Q2C address and withdraw the amount.

That should work. It's not 100% secure against exploiting, but it would make it pretty hard for potential cheater.

The problem is that we need to put some custom code into the faucet. That would not be possible with http://earncryptocoins.com, but maybe with the one from jonesT? As I'm a computer scientist, I could implement the mentioned steps above in PHP for an existing faucet.

Zeitcoin has also set up a giveaway for MintPal and Cryptsy votes:
http://altcoinauthority.com/altcoin-giveaways/

It seems that it works really great for them.
I compared the vote counts of top 10 coins on MintPal between 10:00 and 10:30 and got the following result:
- KDC: +82
- IXC: +1
- BTCS: +10
- XXL: 0
- ZEIT: +116
- GRUMP: +11
- Q2C: +15

We absolutely need a giveaway for MintPal votes! And with this step, we should also get on the Cryptsy vote list.

in Russian forum bitcoin I did easier. Simply asked to make a screenshot LOGIN on cryptsy (old version vote cryptsy).
but now I think you need to make a screenshot of his order on mintpal.

What you think?

The problem is that we couldn't use this thread for the giveaway because that would be against the bitcointalk rules.
We would have to verify everything via e-mail and that would mean very very much work for us.

I think, an automated method would be much better and easier to handle. Besides, the users would instantly get their withdrawaly, without the need of a successful manual verification.
