That doesn't matter so much anymore. LeaseRig is now checking for pools every minute and adjusting them back in case they were changed off the site. Figured it is pointless to fight this, because we were always hit by the issue of cgminer not being able to save pools by priority and certain % of providers still not having fully correct configuration with their cgminers.

This is fantastic news!  Saves all the saving config files and other messy stuff. Fantastico.

In other news, looks like rig prices are on the rise.

Yep, maybe we will run out of rigs by the evening CET time. Put some more hashing power on! We need some more farms. Multipools profit is still down @ 0.006, so LeaseRig gives you almost 2 times as much now.

And check these massive orders:

There is 1.5 BTC prepared to buy your rigs for rated price 0.00777, which is way better than what was going on previous days.

Whoever is making less than this is simply s.upid for not taking the chance!

If you don't have your rig rented out I would suggest to mine SPA SpainCoin. You can earn around .019 BTC/MH/Day at the current rate, it was just released today, and is already on one exchange. Seems that this is the coin causing this massive demand increase in our rigs.

Wondering why not all rigs with price sub 0.019 aren't rented out in that case?

Dunno I wonder too.. And btw, Ive gotten a couple of emails with the following message:

Your mining rig Krishna (Scrypt 3.40 MH/s) may be misconfigured, misconfigured pools were added or there is very bad connection with LeaseRig.net. Pools have not been adjusted properly! Manual pool adjustment is needed.

But everything seems to be working fine, the renter is changing pools without a problem I can also add and remove pools via the LeaseRig web interface..

"Better safe than sorry."

You can ignore it, if the pools are ok. I am sending these mails if something fails when trying to set proper pools.

There are considerable amount of DOGE payments going on. Looks like customers are realizing that DOGEs are going much faster and is therefore more convenient to use them. All providers that don't accept DOGE yet, I strongly suggest you change that. If you don't like DOGE, you can set auto-exchange on most of exchanges (cryptsy allows you that) - at the end, you don't loose, in fact you actually profit, because there is lower TX fee for DOGE.

What about adding the ability to send a message when adding time to renters?

If I notice a rig has been down, I add time and usually send an email to let the renter know. As I understand it, the system also emails them to let them know. It would be nice if I could add time and add a message to that system created email.

When you extend time, email is sent automatically. Don't worry about that.

I feel somewhat inclined to pretend that I hate leaserig, 'cause I want them all for myself  Grin really smooth and easy service, coins confirm swiftly and rigs can flawlessly be rented in a second. Love it.

miaviator,

I switched to a Raspberry Pi and am running Cgminer with my Gridseeds.  I am now able to enable the built in api commands for reporting hashrates directly to the LeaseRig Proxy.  Take a look at how things look now!  (FYI I had some brief downtimes for reboots and updated the firmware on both RPI's during this window, which accounts for the occasional sags in hashrate):

Thanks for that, I just got the 12v to 5v step down converter to hook my pi up to the 2U box with gridseeds.  I'll be testing out cgminer and hopefully swapping this unit and the other leased units to cgminer this week.  For now it's just funny.

NEWS: Quark Algorithm supported.

Link: http://leaserig.net/index.jsp?t=6

If you would like to become Quark rig provider, you have to use LeaseRigProxy (method A), because quark miner does not support cgminer API.

So the email goes to both the renter and the rig owner? Any way to tell if the problem is on our (rig) end or something the renter is doing wrong?

In most cases is due to wrong pool (missing port or something like that). I have implemented additional checks and I don't permit setting pools with no ports anymore, but some people still have saved wrong preconfigured pools.

Second most case is failed result from cgminer - yes, cgminer can sometimes fail or truncate data.

Third reason could be slow response of cgminer when connecting to new pools and if the new pool isn't connected fast enough, old pool won't be removed and mail will be sent.

What if your on a pi?  Tongue it's self moderated.  I just feel the need to post garbage to a self moderated thread......   And closed source shit that runs on linux but not pi linux makes you a bad monkey.
