Crossposting from the Darkcoin/DASH victims thread:

Congrats on the award winning scam!

Let's take a look at the first 5 h of Darkcoin (XCoin at that time)...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg4589219#msg4589219
Edufield said (after failed launch) that he will wait the next day to launch DRK (XCoin at that time) it is 11 pm.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg4591407#msg4591407
Edufield disregard windows wallet and daemon and hurry up his launch, presumably to not have windows miners on board.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg4592827#msg4592827
Edufield say he added four nodes for the launch at 4 am (5 hours later, despite his promise to wait). The 4 nodes from Edufield are 3 amazons AWS + another unknown (whois IP). Launch started at 3h54 am.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg4593601#msg4593601
Edufield said the github version was not updated, nobody could compile and only Edufield was able to mine until that time. It is 5.09 am and Edufield instamined alone 1153 block at 500 DRK + 60 block at reward 277 = 593120 DRK for him alone in about 1 hour.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg4593987#msg4593987
No windows wallet confirmed at 5h47 am, despite a user attempt to make one avaiable, that Edufield dismissed quickly.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg4594096#msg4594096
Illodin, understand dev has instamined alot of coin.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg4595573#msg4595573
From this list of nodes, at 8h34 am (4h40 after launch) there were 50 Amazon AWS node and 50 microsoft cloud computing instamining DRK (checked using IP whois service). This is 100/124 nodes using cloud computing to instamine DRK. We are at block 2870 and block reward is 500. From block 1153-1729 block reward is 277. After that it is 500 again hence 2294 block at 500 + 576 at 277 = 1306552 DRK (worth about 13M$ now) were instamined in less than 5 hour by Edufield and coworkers using about 100 cloud mining instances. Edufield himself instamined in not even 5 h from 600K to 1169K DRK ((1306K-600K)*100/124 + 600K) depending how many of the 100 cloud mining instance were its own. All this while having purposefully set the difficult ridiculously low and block reward 100 times what it is now.

From 6M$ - 13M$ in 5 h, Edufield did some lucrative work here!

Edufield is nominee for the Master Scammer 2014 award!

Later folks... Im off to Vancouver.   So keep these idiots on ice for me.  Lol.  I have to admit... Seeing their name pop up all the time I feel an actual attachment.  It's like the annoying brother some of us have... If I was in a bar or pub with them and they got into it... Id probably back them up.  It's like almost family... Almost.  Wink  Cheers everyone.

To trade Monero, first you need to wait for the wallet to synch

lol, turned to dust more likely, I am still waiting  Undecided

Let us know how that's going...in the mean time im going to lurk under my buddies handle on  in their forum on here and the moderated one and I want to see the depth of these guys coding capabilities.  And what kind testing is going on and what their current development is.   He's been I  there for quite awhile... Wink  I want to see for my self how prolific their team is at coding  Roll Eyes

Don't bother.

Once you've waited a few years for the wallet, there is nothing you can do with it

Lol

Update (well not really)
Upto 234 days behind in Monero wallet
so another 76 days of update took 4 hours and 23 mins.
Tao ratio for 2nd leg of timing down from 6.7 to 8.7 seconds per hour - looks like the bloat is really kicking in now.
Even if Tao remains constant(highly unlikely) projections indicate another 13.6 hours until completion.

Conclusion

BigR has enough time to fly across the rest of Canada before the updating has finished.

Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release.
Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5%
Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1)  = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update

Well just grabbed a few more, I cannot see the pullback going much deeper now..

Its going to touch .0147 we just broke the 100 Day EMA...if we dont hold at 200 day we will likely see .0125 maybe a lil lower ...We also broke the RSI longterm bounce line which means were gonna dip some more but not much

Curios to read some TA on the Dash price!
Anyone?

We still on track for .0147 and my original calls  Wink

Actually you're still on track for $2.  I timed it close but not perfect.  I could have made more if I had just waited another day.  Oh well. I made enough to fund my extravagant lifestyle for another month.  Gotta love this shit.  Go Dashcoin!

it's just DASH...dashcoin is ours https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=678232.0 it is surprising that nobody corrected him..copycats  Grin

So I did some research on decentralization. My starting point was Wikipedia, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decentralized_system. That page has a very good description right at the beginning that I want to paste for you. 'A centralised system is one in which a central controller exercises control over the lower-level components of the system directly or through the use of a power hierarchy (such as instructing a middle level component to instruct a lower level component).' Doesn't that sound like MasterNodes?

I know your answer is going to be that MasterNodes don't 'exercise control' but they do. You've just said that they are going to influence performance, which is exercising control. And we definitely know that they act on behalf of Dash users when they are mixing. By that definition the Dash network is 'centralized' and I don't think it's right to argue it any other way.

The Wikipedia article continues, and I think its important to go over some of the sentences and contrast it with Dash and Bitcoin/Monero, because this is a Dash vs Monero thread.

'A decentralised system, on the other hand, is one in which complex behaviour emerges through the work of lower level components operating on local information, not the instructions of any commanding influence.'

In Dash the lower level components (nodes) don't operate on local information. They rely on the MasterNodes to exert control and provide information and provide structure.

'This form of control is known as distributed control, or control in which each component of the system is equally responsible for contributing to the global, complex behaviour by acting on local information in the appropriate manner.'

This is the clearest indication, for me, where we see that Dash is centralized. The components in Dash are not equal. MasterNodes have way more power than ordinary nodes, and that means they are controlling things.

There are other excellent points in that Wikipedia article but I think the point is clear, and that is that Dash is centralized, Bitcoin and Monero are not.
LOL, I swear some of these people have the IQ of dog food. This is pure idiot-babble.

Masternodes are the only credibly decentralised infrastructure model in crypto.

Just got a nice fat MN payment.  Hashrate is low.

Whoa this is odd.. I have the masternode android app which shows payments so I got a notification of a 3.1dash payment.  I go to ninja site and I can't find it anywhere.  Not on blockchain.  I refresh the app and got another notification saying 3.1 removed.  Isn't that strange?  Especially that blocks were paying 3.1 at the time.

Where is your Gold Donkey now?   Wink

Where is always is. At 3-5 times the cap of your value-added-free, trainspotting sh*tcoin  Wink

Actually - I’m wrong. After an entire year of development you are about to get “something”….

Monero's gains are...driven by excitement about the immanent DB

A database ! Nice Smiley Wonder what you need that for. Value added services ?

...ah. Silly question. No worries, maybe next year santa-pony will bring you an upgrade to this piece of junk, since after your "nice" rise a few more people are going to be running into it Wink

...then again, maybe not  Embarrassed

----

But, eventually, it's all worth it

or is it?

Nope, it's not worth it:

----

That said, it's simply not acceptable for us (to echo your words) to put lipstick on a pig and ship a GUI that is pleasant enough, but takes 4 days to sync from scratch, requires 6+gb of RAM, sucks a ton of bandwidth, and is accepted nearly nowhere.

We will deliver a proverbial work of art, but it requires building out parts of the foundation that we had previously viewed as less of a priority (until the 202612 attack). Oh, and we're doing it on like no money, so there's that.

To be fair(I'm not going to start commenting in this thread, just only saying this), it is impossible to deanonymize after the fact anymore, that issue had already been fixed to my knowledge according to ring signature blinding where even if all participants admitted it wasnt them "after the fact", you still wouldnt be able to tell who did what. Im not entirely sure on this as theres isnt much info released however.

you still wouldnt be able to tell who did what

What you folks don't seem to realise is that it doesn't matter. It's a minority tech. The time to push it was 18 months ago when there was a genuine challenge on Bitcoin's technical approach (i.e. when your dev team was busy flogging mining furniture, writing pizza reviews and generally having this whole agenda pass them by).

Now priorities have consolidated. The whole world's tooling up with Bitcoin tech, APIs, hardware wallets, mobile features, explorers - you name it and your gonna turn up at the party with.....Cryptonote !  Shocked

If formula one teams used 'cryptonote' logic they'd turn up with a double decker bus and extra fuel tanks then trash all the other teams for having 'crap' cars that needed a pit stop.  Tongue
