What was your update proceedure? Did you mistakenly delete the directory? What happens if you in the terminal: cd .dash && dir Assumes you installed to default location for the user. |

Hm... Not ubuntu guru but don't think the reboot delete files..
In AIX it delete file in /tmp that's all.
If you want to knownthe true : May be send us your complete history... ( take care if there is some things you don't want to share).
Command : history (each user have his history).
But you can re instal it for sure.
