Instructions to run masternode on linux:

1. Install chaincoind

2. Edit your chaincoin.conf file

rpcuser=<username>
rpcpassword=<password>
server=1

3. Run chaincoind and wait for it to sync

chaincoind --daemon

4. Get an address and deposit 1000 CHC into it

chaincoind getaccountaddress 0

   Send exactly 1000 CHC to this address.

5. Get a masternode key

chaincoind masternode genkey

6. Stop chaincoind

7. Add to your chaincoin.conf file

listen=1
port=9999
masternode=1
masternodeprivkey=<key from step 5>
masternodeaddr=<your machine ip>:9999

   You must have an IP that's connectable from the internet with port 9999 open.

8. Start chaincoind

9. Wait for chaincoind to sync and your 1000 CHC deposit to have 15 confirmations

10. Start your masternode

Please write the instructions for Windows.Will the masternoda if I have a dynamic IP.

I fired up the miner and noticed it's giving 12 coin blocks.. Did I miss something?
Do not worry, at yiimp.ccminer.org already 4 per unit yield. Another masternoda just 1,000 coins and you can not dig anybody.
Dev sure that 25% of all contributions for 1000 is a good solution?

Well, I tried to mine some, but for some reason the wallet is hitting 100% cpu usage every few minutes and is disrupting the connection to the miner.. Not to mention all of the known working nodes I was using are refusing connection now. I want to mine, but am unable to..

master nodes were not supposed to be ready before the 21th :p fkdf its not a good idea to explain that now... while its under testing

oldkolobok, the 4 CHC Blocks are indeed because i test a masternode ,) trying to detect these blocks... actually they are reversed to the miners (if anyone is mining) Wink

Any word on having ChainCoin on Bittrex? Looks like an interesting project. Anything else known about the Masternodes system besides a launch date?

 Is there a coin that isn’t on the list but you think should be? Contact support (at) cryptsy.com with the relevant details for consideration to be added to this list. Come on guys lets put it in

Masternodes/Darksend/mixing seems to be in full swing.

I count 17 masternodes. There are a few setup as 127.0.0.1. Make sure you set your Internet IP as your masternode ip.

Also remember to tweet your favourite exchange to add Chaincoin.

Wallet update 0.9.2.2

Allows masternodes to run on any port. It is recommended you run the masternode on port 11994.

OP updated with download links and masternode setup instructions.

Wallet update 0.9.2.2

It is recommended you run the masternode on port 11994.

Thanks!

Upgraded, recompiled, reconfigured, restarted.

Just for confirmation
Code:
masternodeaddr=5.9.56.229:11994
...
port=11994
rpcport=11995

Are these port assignments correct?

And should I expect masternodelist to update eventually?

Code:

There hasn't been any serious Github activity for over a month. Is this coin still being developed actively? Doesn't look like it..

What do you mean by serious?  There was activity just four days ago https://github.com/chaincoin/chaincoin.

There have been some significant updates recently.

Oops, you're right. My apologies, I must have looked at the wrong branch.

Anyway, where's this coin headed development-wise? Smiley
