im confused about the wallet, how do i import an existing wallet? and is the passphrase for "encrypt wallet" just a password or is that like a private key?

This is my log for my masternode, i just set it up and dont understand does this mean its working or does it mean its disconnected how it says disconnecting down the bottom? someone please help am stressing out as only bought coins to have masternode and hold so i want it working  Huh Huh Huh Undecided

2017-07-11 11:11:15 CActiveMasternode::ManageStatus() - Checking inbound connection to '192.168.20.2:11994'
2017-07-11 11:11:15 CActiveMasternode::ManageStatus() - Is capable master node!

If you started the master node with 'masternode start'

and it shows you that 'successfully started masternode' then it is running.

Since there are over 1000 master nodes you might need to wait up to two days or longer to get a master node payment.

Anyone gotten 2 master nodes running on multiple home computers? The chaincoin wallet binds itself to port 11994 and won't let a 2nd instance run a node on a 2nd pc. If u look at the masternode list in the debug console there are many using many other ports besides the 11994 and 11995 but sane ip's. I've tried opening other ports for it besides those 2 and using the masternodeaddr=myip:new port opened and the node will not start like my first one I set up. And yes I have 1000 coins in the 2nd wallet.

In chaincoin.conf, add a line that says port=(port other than 11995).

Just setup my first masternode this afternoon.
Everything went smooth so far except and that is a little bit weird - the 1000 CHC that I sent from Cryptopia to the address generated through the command "chaincoind getaccountaddress 0" do not show up yet.
It has been more than 3 hours now and the command "chaincoind getinfo" does still not show the balance and the command "chaincoind listtransactions" shows nothing at all.

And how can I see on my linux vps if the blockchain has been synced 100% yet?

Can someone who has masternode/s successfully running on a linux server help me out here?

UPDATE:
After more than 6 hours the 1000 CHC showed up when you check the VPS with "chaincoind getinfo" or "chaincoind listtransactions".
But now I have two more questions:

1. How can I see on my linux vps if the blockchain has been synced 100% yet?

2. And last but not least the rewards for hosting the masternode are sent to which wallet exactly? Will these be sent to the same address that was generated with "chaincoind getaccountaddress 0"?

Thanks in advance.

You don't need to import. When you backed up your wallet, you saved the wallet.dat file. That file is your wallet.
Close down your wallet and replace your existing wallet.dat with the backed up wallet.dat. You will get back your previous wallet.

For anybody setting up the masternode via Linux VPS - does the command "chaincoind masternode stop" work for you?

I noticed I had a space in the chaincoin.conf file for the rpcpassword and wanted to stop the masternode and then the deamon but once type "chaincoind masternode stop" and then hit enter - nothing happens.
The cursor in the terminal does not do anything.

what if i switch computers and want to bring over my wallet file?

All your wallet information is in the wallet.dat. To keep it simple, you should have one wallet in your computer (wallet A). If you have a second computer and want to 'transfer' your wallet to that computer, then you need to install the wallet (wallet A), then close it down and replace the wallet.dat file with the wallet.dat from the wallet A. It is might be possible to have multiple wallets in your computer, but that is a bit difficult to set up.

I am not a 100% sure as I am running my wallets on Linux, but in windows normally the wallet.dat is somewhere in the AppData folder, probably in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Chaincoin. You can't really make 'one to be active over the other'. You have 1 wallet in your computer unless you are OK to go through a difficult configuration process.

what if i switch computers and want to bring over my wallet file?
As long as you have the wallet.dat file of the old wallet, you just install the wallet again to the new computer and replace the wallet.dat file from the backup.

I have put a T-shirt on amazon regarding this new chaincoin HODL wave. Am I allowed to post the non referral link here? Couldnt find anything clarifying this matter through the forum search ... would Edit this post and put the link in, if its not considered as bad behaviour or annoying to others. If its been a stupid idea, I will delete this post very soon. Thanks Smiley

So where is the dev during all of this? They remake the website and toss out a roadmap and now that the coin is being pumped he's MIA? Huh
