How America's Crypto Capital Combated Bitcoin's High Fees - A Dash of Dash

Ian Freeman has been a proponent and user of cryptocurrency for years. He has introduced this empowering technology to many thousands through his radio show Free Talk Live, including Bitcoin Cash founder Roger Ver. And, along with other crypto fans in New Hampshire, he’s done extensive merchant outreach, including getting crypto ATMs placed, to such an extent that a Forbes writer called it America’s “Crypto Mecca”. Without question Ian is a crypto o.g.

In this video he details the crypto saturation in New Hampshire that began with Bitcoin, but, due to expensive transaction fees (which reached $55 on December, 22, 2017!) he sought an alternative. Thanks to the solution-oriented gents at Anypay (who too are based in New Hampshire) Dash was found to be a superior product for real world use. So much so, that Ian says it’s “king” in New Hampshire.

Generally, if you have a large amount of bitcoins on a given PC, being extra-cautious about third party software (be it an Alt-coin client or a particularly fancy casual game) is advisable.

Especially if fraudsters purposefully want to hack you, as a rule, they succeed in it, so you should be careful about cryptocurrency issues.

Be safe!! yep! DASH is immune to 51% attacks and chain reorgs, and all transactions are *instant* 💪😎🚀

DASH may have just become the most secure POW chain. Block finality happens instantly w/ chain locks. All thanks to Dash's 2nd tier collateralized node system. This eliminates 51% attacks as attacker would need 51%+ hash rates & over 66% of all Dash 5000+ collateralized nodes.

Today marks a profound & historic milestone for blockchain technology as we bear witness to a new beginning. @Dashpay has activated LLMQ-Based ChainLocks making $DASH the most secure cryptocurrency. Say bye to 51% attacks & reorgs. Say hello to instantly respendable payments!

Hey @cz_binance when are you reducing the required $Dash confs to 0? With ChainLocks and all transactions InstantSend, "0-conf" Dash is more secure than 1-conf Bitcoin. @krakenfx @DigiFinex and many others are already on board. When Binance? Smiley

To be honest with @dashpay #ChainLocks technology every single exchange and service can use $Dash blockchain with 0 confirmations and be sure they are secure and have the funds on place.

Surely only quantum secure chains should be considered for the long term not?

Way too much value to not.

I heard there a some ICO activities made to supplant blockchain. They advance a progressively secure and quicker framework. So this implies this is a risk to Bitcoin and to different altcoins sometime in the not so distant future.

As I would see it we ought to think about putting into it. This may be our opportunity to turn into a moment whale sometime in the not so distant future.

I however that digital security is a typical issue nowadays.

On the off chance that you keep your bank card subtleties mystery, for what reason should you uncover your crypto resources information.

Be savvy and don't confide in any one on the web, particularly the individuals who offer simple and quick fortune.

I noticed that the mini bull run bitcoin is making haven't dragged altcoins up yet. But definitely, soon that will happen. There are also a lot of interesting new altcoins out there, I saw this new fintech/ctyprobanking project, Pointpay and they are conducting 1 ETH giveaway.

Ranking of coins with most active addresses as indicator for real blockchain activity.

In the last 30 days DASH @Dashpay and EOS increased their numbers significantly, whereas other top coins are losing ground.

I haven't seen anybody post about what would be my biggest worry if I were trying out alternative block chains. I realize this may be perceived as "Gavin is FUD'ding anything that isn't bitcoin!"  (FUD == Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt)  But I think some of you might be forgetting some basic computer security fundamentals in the excitement to be early adopters.

When I first heard about bitcoin, my questions were:

1) Can it possibly work (do the ideas for how it works make sense)?
2) Is it a scam?
3) If it is not a scam, could it open my computer up to viruses/trojans if I run it?

I answered those questions by:

1) Reading and understanding Satoshi's whitepaper.  Then thinking about it for a day or two and reading it again.
2) Finding out everything I could about the project.  I read every forum thread here (there were probably under a hundred threads back then) and read Satoshi's initial postings on the crypto mailing list.
3) Downloaded and skimmed the source code to see if it looked vulnerable to buffer overflow or other remotely exploitable attacks.

If I were going to experiment with an alternative block-chain, I'd go through the same process again. But I'm an old conservative fuddy-duddy.

If you want to take a risk on a brand-new alternative block-chain, I'd strongly suggest that you:

1) Run the software in a virtual machine or on a machine that doesn't contain anything valuable.
2) Don't invest more money or time than you can afford to lose.
3) Use a different passphrase at every exchange site.

Your inquiry is very helpful for us

thank you for you Smiley Smiley Smiley

in the event that I have a noteworthy number of Bitcoins, I won't run different customers on a similar PC until the substitutes have created a trust over a more drawn out timeframe... I'm most likely on the jumpy side of things.
