Following these classic tips, you can save your savings. Participating in a game called - "Crypto", do not let yourself get into the minus. Nobody will tell you which project can be successful

All right! This requires the maximum diversification of all risks.

Thank you Gavin.

The only things I might add is that "use a different password" isn't limited to exchanges, but applies to forums, emails, and even pools Wink

Gavin, thank you! Really interesting sharing.
About different passwords for exchanges. Well, some people have to use ONE password for everything. If it's not simple one, then it's fine Smiley

As we know, "Blockchain" has been a revolutionary technology that has changed radically the concept of transactions with the broad meaning of the word as it has removed the so-called "third party" and made processes more secure via encryption. However, the main question here, as we see  increasing trends toward adopting blockchain technology, will alternative blockchains protected against the attempts of dominating them?

There seem to be a lot of scammy wallets popping up lately too asking people to input their seeds. Watch out newbies!! This could get worse before it gets better

Some people only have one computer and that must suck. Fortunately I have multiple so I can use some of my alt-miners to do this safely.

There are numbers of fake coins in the market. It becomes difficult to judge that which coin is better. So, one should go only for project based coins.

Thank you Gavin.

The only things I might add is that "use a different password" isn't limited to exchanges, but applies to forums, emails, and even pools Wink , and that some antivirus heuristics seem to hate anything that has mining code in it and isn't explicitly whitelisted.
The password can easily be stolen. Therefore, I use two-factor authentication on all sites where used money and important information.

You are right, sometimes people enter a private key instead of a public key when registering. What else to say.

Some of the new projects I'm seeing are some of the sketchiest. Mostly because you don't know what they are putting in the wallets. I recommend anyone to not install any random crypto wallets in environments were they store privatekeys of their main wallets.

The great Gavin Anderson. His words still carry so much relevance all these years on. I think alternative currencies can have a place in future. Like Gavin pointed out though if investing in alts make sure you do you due diligence as this risk factor is exponentially greater

I want to create an alternative special-purpose blockchain. It would use a proof-of-work function that is different than the one in Bitcoin.

By and large, on the off chance that you have a lot of bitcoins on a given PC, being additional wary about outsider programming (be it an Alt-coin customer or an especially favor easygoing amusement) is fitting
