Sounds like a good month. Congratulations to all you lucky investors!
Doesn't have much to do with luck. You can still buy shares, there's always someone selling (if glbse is up). I increased my bitcointorrentz stash by 30% in the last few days. Thanks to all sellers

This bug is sttill alive. I got .!ut files just minute ago.
Damn. I thought I had it fixed. Can you PM me with the status link of the torrent you were downloading? I'm trying to find some kind of common denominator between the torrents that this is happening with.

I'm trying to find some kind of common denominator between the torrents that this is happening with. haha, maybe they all have the same md5sum Thats what I thought it might be actually. One scenario that I did confirm the bug with was if someone initiated a download, and then another person initiates the same torrent before the first had completed. In that case, the server would just serve up the unfinished files when it sees the md5 in the database. I'll do some more debugging and see if I can get to the bottom of it.

Thanks to all sellers I want to buy in on these shares, Noticed on GLBSE that the last price posted per share was 1.05 BTC, and the lowest asking is 1.50 BTC. I placed a bid for 5 shares at 1.05, will hope for the best Thanks, SJ

I'm interested, but the lack of info on the download speed to expect is keeping me away. What are your maximum/minimum/average pipe speeds, and does it support downloading from private trackers?

In my experience, on well-seeded torrents, the download speed is around 1.5 mbyte/s. The download via http then saturates my measly pipe (10mbit/s), so I can't comment on that. Don't think private trackers are supported.

Hi Greed. Thanks for your interest in the service. BitCoinTorrentz is running on a 100mbit pipe, but the download speed will vary depending on the health of the torrent you wish to download, but typically it goes as fast as is permitted by the swarm. With regards to downloads from the server itself, I can only tell you that my own 30mbit connection is maxed out. It can be quite variable too though depending on your location (our server is located in europe) and the quality of your internet connection, so the best way to test out the speed of the service is to download a small file and check it out for yourself. We do not specifically disallow private trackers, and as long as your tracker permits downloads from IP addresses other than that you used to log into the website, then it will work.

In light of recent increases in the exchange rate, I have reduced the basic rate from 0.08 btc/GB back to 0.05 btc/GB, and also reduced the fees paid for existing members by the proportional amounts. Wow, 0.3377 BTC for a 5GB torrent, downloaded in less then 10 min at an avg of 5.0MB/s. Nice job bro, great service I think Im addicted Glad you are happy with the service.

Sorry about that molecular. I restarted the server to update some software. It was offline about 5-10 minutes, everything is back to normal now. I definitely underestimated the enthusiasm of bitcointorrentz users!

The price adjustment was a good idea, I think.

so after the recent fiascos with LIF.A / B / C and most GLBSE listed stocks showing zero to no trading and a devastating curve, I have liquidated ALL my assets there.
i believe you are the only one who still maintains a profitable business.
can you please post the revenue / dividends of the past few weeks and your current projection, as well as the number of shares, owner structure? might be that I'd just put all the remaining eggs in one basket. you just need to give me a reason other than "do it".
cheers!

MergedMining and FPGA.contract are happily paying dividends. I'd call at least these 2 a "profitable business" (these are the only ones apart from BitCoinTorrentz I follow). The yearly ROI of both is currently around 35-38%.
