Bitcoin's influence is really too big. Many people think that Bitcoin is all cryptocurrencies. They only know Bitcoin, and most of the newcomers to the market are Bitcoin. Everyone only looks at the bitcoin price.

I think the price of Bitcoin has become another altcoin unit. Bitcoin price increases, altcoin price also increases. And Bitcoin price decreases, altcoin price decreases. Basically Bitcoin is very influential with altcoin prices. A few days ago the price of Bitcoin fell, and altcoin I invested also dump.

Bitcoin certainly affects the price of other altcoins, because bitcoin is the legal currency in the world of cryptocurrencies, anchoring standards, just like the dollar in the real world. This also illustrates the importance of Bitcoin.

Hey everyone,
How strongly Altcoin value relate to bitcoin price. Can we know the condition of ETH/BTC ratio by analyzing BTC/USD value ?

No bad coins, maybe this time BTC became king, but fore who will know if altcoin will become very deadly.
Nothing lasts, now I have some ethereum, and I think this is the crypto coin that will kill BTC in the future.

for now all altcoin prices are always influenced by bitcoin prices, because all altcoins mostly use bitcoin as a price reference, so if the bitcoin drops then almost all altcoin the price also goes down.

BTC has a strong influence on other coins. You may find that decreasing BTC values will lead to a series of other coin drops as well. This can be considered as the strong dominance of the BTC.

Yes definitely, because as of now fiat to crypto not that abundant yet so i guess bitcoin dominance has a very big say when it comes to prices of alts. Specially those alts with bitcoin pairs. I believe when it comes  bullrun speculation bitcoin will be the first one rally in order for the whole market to recover.

Whatever else we would like to happen, the facts are that Bitcoin still completely dominates the market when it comes to the pricing of altcoins. So if Bitcoin drops then the altcoins will do the same. If Bitcoin rises then maybe the altcoins will follow.

Bitcoin is the father in the cryptocurrency. Other altcoins are sons. Of course, you have to listen to your father. This is hard to change. Moreover, the volume of other cryptocurrencies is not as large as bitcoin, and the influence is not enough.

I think the price of altcoins is completely dependent on the price of bitcoin. The more expensive the main coin the better for altcoins.

Hey everyone,
How strongly Altcoin value relate to bitcoin price. Can we know the condition of ETH/BTC ratio by analyzing BTC/USD value ?

of course yes, but for growth it will require a process and certainly the skills and progress of the developer are at stake according to the white paper and the concept.
there is a lot of altcoin growing when the market is conducive, but nowadays it is very unlikely because the market is likely to be dominated by the downward trend.

The cost of Bitcoin and Ethereum certainly influences the cost of altcoins in relation to fiat.
The cost of the main coins to each other and to the altcoins does not depend on the ratio to the USDT

I think about bitcoin, If bitcoin price going low then altcoin USD value also going down. And if bitcoin price of USD value up then USD value of altcoin getting pump but Satoshi go down thats time. So altcoin price also depend on bitcoin.

really altcoin depends on bitcoin and simplenya altcoin always follow the price development of bitcoin, and bitcoin itself is king whereas altcoin is only complementary deficiency of bitcoin.

Hey everyone,
How strongly Altcoin value relate to bitcoin price. Can we know the condition of ETH/BTC ratio by analyzing BTC/USD value ?

I can say that Bitcoin is like a milestone for cryptocurrency, so the price affects all other crypto prices.
Perhaps, in the future there will be crypto that has a higher value than BTC, but it will still happen for a long time and still depends on how BTC develops.

Most follow it. Some will diverge slightly but not for long. The predominant trend will prevail across all coins
Most of it follow but the altcoins with strong fundamentals that time for sure will stay on top and could even go high more because a lot of people switching into BTC when it goes down because they panic sell they think they will lose their money even if it's not.

it is true that both bitcoin and Ethereum can effect the price of entire market everytime their price change, it doesn't need to much time to effect the market when the market depends on their price and most of altcoins on the market using two pairs: ALts/BTC or Alts/ETH, that is why when the pumps or dumps happen, the price of ETH and BTC is the first target of whales to make he price follow their intentions.

Actually, it depends on the ICO of altcoins have. As the value of bitcoin increase most of altcoins relying on and definitely increase tremendously. Well, in some situation not all time increasing as the world of crypto currency is so volatile in which we can't predict the possible happenings. I believe someday it will back to peak value as what happened last year as more users hoping the value will increase to have a great amount of profit.

99% of altcoins follow Bitcoin's price movement, they always move in the same direction although alts are usually more volatile. Obviously there are exceptions where alts may rise due to FOMO during bear market.
