Big holder alert:

http://blockchain.premineco.in/a/1bNR5uN2Hv

Just saw this TX in the blockchain  Undecided

Yikes. That's over 4%. I hope that person comes forward to alleviate our concerns. It's not unexpected though.

How does this happen?  Did they buy it?

I'm thinking that is the most likely situation.

I see it has a veeeery long chain of inputs. Always with two outputs, one very small and one much bigger (almost the whole input).

Isn't it possible it's the Faucet?

http://blockchain.premineco.in/tx/a1374020bbaf53b54dcc1629c2cc2f6467c00d8e1971adc53c7fcc46570758c6#o0
http://blockchain.premineco.in/tx/823b67db4590ecbbafd8ebb115b5897ced2fd2bf7070fc96b1d6c22d9511f9ba#o1
...
http://blockchain.premineco.in/tx/749e5831bd60ae8455007678fd1342dbe1a3691ccb03d60cabbd2e690af5c17b#o1
...
and on and on

Actually yeah. I suppose it could be. Hadn't thought about that.

I tracked the original input:
http://blockchain.premineco.in/tx/259f4eb3408492c1d9eca8a62d1f12a1b30b410969927f3697cb5fcc5b0ba643

Maybe you can recognize that @creditcoin

I made sure to label all of the addresses i sent to, so I should be able to find out.

It is among the first coins mined, so it is highly likely to be the faucet. the faucets and the dice are the only entities that recieved that much coin.

edit: wait, i read that page wrong - but still, i should be able to match it to a label.

*on the edge of her seat*   I can confirm it's not mine - if that helps?

I remember going through that in the DOGE forums awhile back. The scamming was rampant in the early doge days.

Good to hear that it was the faucet in the end, but that doesn't mean that an individual might easily stack up these amounts for a mediocre sum of btc. I hope that we can see an increase in the price soon and that a few dumpers won't ruin it again.

Does anybody know where in the thread the news about the charity that accepts PMC for college funds is?

I cant seem to find it :/

Hopefully it wasn't removed, if anybody has a link, or knows where it is, I would appreciate it.

http://www.crypto4college.info/

I think we should start a more legitamate charity as well. Something like wounded heros, fisher house foundation, or any other big name.

I would be on board with that idea - what is the official channel for doing such a thing?

If you don't have a preference of which charity, i'll just find a nationally recognized one and do some research for you =)

I prefer not to be involved in anything political.

Widows, orphans, starving people, and people that are struggling are things that I would like to support.

Just my 0.02 PMC input on the subject. But, it really depends on what is available.

What about The Halo Trust?  They help remove landmines: http://www.halotrust.org/

Great cause and fits in with the mining theme.  Smiley

I'll contact them and see if they are interested?
Based on past coin experience, the easiest way to get a charity to recognize and accept you is to cash the coins in and send them cash. Due to the current low volume exchanges, i'd probably set a 'handover' date for any money raised to be a month or more out. That way a large sum hopefully would not be cashed at the exchange until after volume increases a bunch. If anyone else has input i'd be glad to hear it!

I agree. Especially with the dumping the past few days. A person could acquire 20k fairly easily with very little investment.

Hey nice! I just read the discussion on that thread.

"Not that I know much about PMC, but as far as I've seen the dev hasn't been sharing them very generously when compared to the total amount, so he probably is still holding a majority of them. Correct me if I'm wrong."

At least he was willing to be corrected, but I have to wonder where the bad info about not passing out the coins is coming from. Hopefully if he has any concerns he will send me a message rather than listening to incorrect info.

I've been wondering where that crap comes from, too.  Premine is by far the most charitably honest altcoin community I've seen.  It stuck in my craw to see it, so I wanted to make sure it was corrected right away

Is there a way to sort PMC addresses by number of PMC being held?  A total of all coins sorted greatest to smallest with addresses?

Also, random question, what's everyone's guess on what percentage of PMC are gone?  I mean by lost .dat's or other means?  I bet there are quite a few people with >100 PMC that probably forgot (or will forget) about this coin.

Only with some kind of blockchain viewer / parser. Or we need to get PMC added here: http://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-litecoin-addresses.html

Even then, it's not that hard to split large transactions into smaller ones.
