We desire the following primary goals:

Efficiency via proof of stake - the consensus should be secured without mining, thereby greatly reducing electricity waste as well as the need for large and indefinite ongoing ETH issuance.

Fast block time - the block time should be maximally fast, though without compromising security.
Economic finality - once a block is made, after a certain amount of time a state of affairs should arise where the bulk of the validators have "fully committed" to that block, meaning that they lose their entire ETH deposits (think: 10 million ETH of value) in all histories that do not have that block. This is desirable because it means that even majority collusions cannot conduct medium or long-range 51% attacks without destroying all of their ether; the default validator strategies are designed to be conservative about their willingness to make high-value commitments so the risk for honest validators should be very low.

Scalability - it should be possible to run the blockchain with literally no full nodes, ie. in a situation where all nodes, including validators, keep up with only a small fraction of the data in the blockchain and use light-client techniques in order to access the rest. This way the blockchain can achieve transaction throughput much higher than that of a single machine while at the same time ensuring that the platform can be run off of nothing more than a sufficiently large number of consumer laptops, thereby preserving decentralization.

Cross-shard communication - it should be maximally feasible to interoperate between applications that are on different parts of the state that are stored by different nodes, and to build applications that exist across multiple such portions of the state if an individual application's usage reaches such a point that a single node's computing power and bandwidth can no longer sustain it.

Computational censorship resistance - the protocol should be resistant to attempts by even majority colluding validators across all shards to prevent undesired transactions from getting into the chain and being finalized. This exists to some extent in Ethereum 1.0 via "censorship resistance by halting problem", but we can make this mechanism much stronger by introducing a notion of guaranteed scheduling and guaranteed cross-shard messages.

It seems eth etc both are in coma. Tiny volume, least movement in price, lack of general interest. If this condition persists newcomers will never know about these 2 coins in near future.

Maybe they are being accumulated by the whales, so the whales do not want the price to be too high now.

I think it is time to buy a few ETH. When the price rises due to some good news, then buy a lot more, then sell.

The fate of the forked ethereum depends entirely on what Ethereum Central Bank (aka Ethereum Foundation) will decide. If they need more they'll print more.

Let's get this right, you are using non-crypto terms of references to foundations, because you don't know what you writing about!

It's pretty obvious to me that Barry's group tried to make a deal with Eth Foundation during crowdfund, probably asking for discounted Eth in exchange for marketing or whatever. Eth Foundation declined and Shilbert is eternally butthurt and his stance on ETC is just spite.

Why are ETHF fans so aggressive? Why don't they recognize the obvious?
Ether is a 'fuel' for smart contracts. Why don't buy same fuel x10 cheaper?

If you want to use ether as money (electronic cash) it is quite obvious it is inferior to bitcoin. Unclear money supply is a big issue for ethereum.
But if you want to use it as a fuel for your smart contracts it is quite obvious ETHC is the way to go!

Stop wasting our time on this ANN with this nonsense!

Sometimes, your posts ramble on about the Ethereum Foundation being a private banks - yet private banks have invented a complex lending infrastructure to expanding their own businesses profit opportunities. Ethereum has no lending infrastructure.

Sometimes, you posts ramble on about the Ethereum Foundation being a Central Bank - yet a Central Bank is a mandatory utility branch of National Government's for note and coin production. Ethereum has no mandatory utility function related to note or coin production for a National Government.

You keep referring to stuff (that you know nothing about) and nobody who reads this thread can understand how it relates to Ethereum or Ethereum Foundation.

In your latest, confusing post: you are comparing Ethereum to Bitcoin - when everyone knows the only similarity shared between the two cryptos is they use a blockchain. $28 million was invested in the development of Ethereum, which is completely different to BTC's development history.

And, Ethereum does have fan websites:
