I think you guys are confused? Cheesy

This is the ETH ANN not the ETC - ETC posting crap here is not going to go down well.

Not, that you guys are learning.

You keep writing about ETC and some person read what you written, who had ETC stolen from their ETC-QT wallet. He/She posted a question for you lot to answer.

You've offered no explanation as too how coins can be stolen out of a ETC-QT wallet.

Why don't you answer it? More people have had ETH stolen.

Why don't you answer why this guy lost $50,000 of ETH? https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/4yru3h/scared_and_confused/

Is Vitalik so smart he didn't use checksums like Bitcoin had from day one?

There is vast difference, from exchange wallet errors on withdrawals and deposits - I've had 8 of those in past 2 years for various Alts

The guy posted about, his home computer and ETC-QT wallet having coins disappear.

Exchange wallet errors on withdrawals and deposit are a pretty common experience - nobody posts that stuff on ANN.

They use the exchange's support page.

This guys was posting about his home computer and ETC coins disappear from it, which is entirely different thing.

You guys refuse to offer an explanation as too how a ETC-QT wallet on a home computer can have coins disappear!

And this is why I feel compelled to warn people against ETC.  If it can happen to me, it can happen to anyone mining ETC or holding ETC in their wallet.

Those who support it offer no help they only get defensive and point fingers at ETH.   I am mining ETC for months and have never had a similar problem.  I mined ETC for just 1 week and had two separate losses of coins.

If those who claim ETC is so classic care so little about the vulnerability of what they support then their intentions should be very clear.

ETH will grow and prosper.  ETC with die a slow death until more and more people realize its a scam for thieves.

Do not you think gyus that people have lost their thrust over Ethereum. Thereby both ETC and ETH is suffering. Eth has less movement than before. Can any one say when the black cloud will fly away ? I was really in love with ETHEREUM

True but if there is going to be good dapps, they're going to be on ETC, espcially DNM, profitable dapps

Funny.  I posted the issue (both times) in the ETC forum when it happened.  But now, in the ETH forum someone wants to discuss this.

I think I posted numerous times that I do not know what happened.  I was looking for answers but I posted I saw a geth console message about a possible replay attack.  But the coins I lost were POW rewards AFTER the fork.

The first incident occurred on August 12, the second on August 15.

The fist incident involved 8 ETC, the second 10.  In both cases the loss was roughly 50% of my total balance. There are no transactions showing the decrease in ETC in the wallet.  I do not have transaction IDs.  Taking a screen shot was not an option since I had no idea I was going to be robbed and therefore did not take a before shot.

Its because you're trying to mine to nicehash. Use a real pool and earn much more.

Yelp, Ethereum Foundation response to "The DAO" super-hack with a anti-crime Hard Fork is starting to pay off - academics and universities are approving!

"Furthermore, this appears to be a sign of approval from institutions and researchers of Ethereum’s direction and response to the DAO debacle which has allowed the community to put that mistake fully behind and now focus its energies on actually providing solutions."

Anti-crime measures, have impressed the serious people who work outside crypto-currencies Smiley

The Etherpool.org is the best for me. I like the solo mining mode. But you have to have at least 1GH/s to benefit. I use the Claymore miner.
