Interesting new feature. Ethereum transactions first then the next will be ERC20 transactions. Send them privately is great. The world and the blockchain industry will evolve more to be more decentralized and focus on improvement of privacy and anonymity. Broadcast your transactions privately is very good but one more thing to be careful. Don't use block explorers too much and non-Tor because you can self-leak your privacy.

"Amount of ETH held by miners reaches highest level since 2016 The balance held by Ether miners is the largest it has been since shortly after the network was launched five years ago. When converted into USD, it is at a historic peak of $1.85 billion, according to data provided by analytics platform Santiment. The firm stated that the 532,750 ETH is the largest balance held by miners since July 13, 2016. The amount equates to around 0.45% of the total circulating supply of Ethereum, which is currently 117.8 million ETH." https://cointelegraph.com/news/amount-of-eth-held-by-miners-reaches-highest-level-since-2016Miners don't believe in Ethereum growth or calculation errors? For example, I do not store mined coins on my mining wallet.

There are quite a few projects working on this exactly - should make utility on Eth even more useful/robust and will bring even bigger finance players to the Eth world. One could argue Secret with its bridges and wrapped coins might have done it first (though admittedly on Cosmos post-Enigma).

https://twitter.com/TimBeiko/status/1449051099457998851" 3. The merge will be a more complicated upgrade than past ones, so we probably want some extra buffer relative to our regular upgrade schedules; 4. This means there are two blocks of time we need to consider: the time to implement things (variable) and the heads up (fixed); 5. A lot of the work will be towards planning for "disaster recovery" cases, which is quite hard to estimate; .. 4. We think ~4 months is a generous timeframe from having the code done to seeing the merge on mainnet. 5. We think there's a chance this can happy by February (obviously, still a lot of unknowns!), so we decided to set the bomb based on that." I read the whole thread on Twitter, and it seems to me that the developers need a lot more time ..

Dev's idea behind the POS is not so much abouth the reduced inflation, but more for their own profit. They are silent how much coins were premined for them. The problem with the full switch to POS is that the small element of a decenetralization will be completely lost. Not that the miners have any voice now, but still they provide both the security and the profitability of the blockchain. The thing is that according to the US law, the full switch to POS will mean that ethereum becomes an unregistered security, as the chairman of SEC Gary pointed out numerous times recently. Then ethereum will become as any other stock or a bank product, promising a profit based on the size of the deposit. Vitalik still thinks this is a joke and tried to give some ridiculous arguments against that. Unfortunately most of the investors are mislead and think that the problem will be solved somehow, perhaps that Vitalik will register ethereum as a security. Well, the truth is that he can't. It is a very compicated process similar to the attempt of facebook to register libra. They failed miserably, because It is practically impossible, at least much harder than getting an ETF. What are then the consequences? After it is declared an (unregistered) security by SEC, all exchanges in USA will ban the trading with Ethereum, otherwise they will be shut down by SEC. This will be a huge blow after which ethereum will hardly ever recover. But Vitalik and his team are behaving like ostriches burying their heads in the sand. It won't last long. I doubt that they publicly will give up the POS idea, but I won't be surprised if they silently postpone the full switch to POS infinitely.

Connect to the site using metamask and you will see all the data. I don't want to show my details, but I am upset with what I saw Transaction fee on Ethereum network is painful and what exchange charges user with withdrawal fee is more painful. I don't want to use Ethereum when I withdraw my crypto fund from exchanges. If I move my crypto fund between exchanges, I will use Solana or TRON and if I want to reshuffle my portfolio back to Ethereum, I can do it with spot trading. It will help me to save so much transaction fee than I move my fund directly by Ethereum.

Last newshttps://hackmd.io/@benjaminion/eth2_news/https%3A%2F%2Fhackmd.io%2F%40benjaminion%2Fwnie2_211022"The Altair upgrade takes place on Wednesday 27th October at 10:56:23 UTC The Merge We’re all safely back from the Merge Workshop. My ConsenSys homies did a nice write-up of the event, and there’s a write-up from the Ethereum Foundation too. Coming out of the workshop is the Pithos testnet which is running nicely with various combinations of Eth1 (execution) and Eth2 (consensus) clients. In case you are wondering, a Pithos is another kind of Greek earthenware jar, much like an Amphora, I guess."

Ethereum fees are so high now that it makes Uniswap and all other dex unusable, so I understand why people are making layer2 but we don't need 100 projects making layers. Now Metis and what is next? Testicles maybe

Testicles maybe https://forkast.news/vitalik-buterin-layer-2-future-of-ethereum-scaling/Layer 2 solutions that have been launched include Polygon Hermez, Loopring, ZKSync, Optimism and Arbitrum One. The current cost to transfer ETH on Polygon Hermez is US$0.25 compared to US$6.84 for Ethereum, Buterin said. https://cointelegraph.com/news/vitalik-proposes-solution-to-link-certain-layer-two-scaling-projectsThe proposal outlines how two protocols using rollups can communicate with each other while maintaining interconnectivity and composability. Metisdao will be a huge part of ETH, the team behind it is amazing....and no one here knows anything about Metisdao.. .but soon everyone will. 1-sec/few-cent tx, cheap/native data storage, NOCODE integration, Web3 economy hub.
