I wouldn't be surprised if the merger of ETH 1.0 and ETH 2.0 goes a lot faster than 2023. After all, the developers have already said that these ETH 1.0 and ETH 2.0 networks will work in parallel until the full deployment of Ethereum 2.0 occurs, and this will take an average of 2 years. 🤗

By the way, earlier Vitalik Buterin expressed his opinion regarding the merger of Ethereum and Ethereum Classic. I would like to know if there are real plans for this.

Where did you find information on the Ethereum and Ethereum Classic merger?

I apologize, but the possibility of a merger was mentioned by Vitalik Buterin more than a year ago and it was not about an upcoming fact, but about a possibility, since the readiness of the parties for such a merger remains open, besides, Ethereum Classic with each new update becomes more and more compatible with Ethereum. Vitalik Buterin only expressed the technical possibility of integrating the ETC blockchain into ETH 2.0 as a separate shard and nothing more.

There's an active discord group for openethereum where the devs often post. I haven't installed it on Windows but it's working for me on Linux.

People who made good profit from btc, usually diversify into other established coin and ETH is the 1st alternative of btc. Soon eth 2.0 will come into action and ultimate scalability is coming in eth chain. Eth will go higher, imho. But always do your own research.
