It is not a good idea as during bearish market BTC is the most reliable coin and it is dominating on the market versus altcoins.
What you propose can work only on a bullish market.

It is not about bitcoin but every coin on the market. I do not see the need for holding a coin for a longer time when you have enough profits made from it. People watch their coin sink to 0 because they have hope that it'll rise in future. The fact one coin rises higher once a time does not mean you have to hodl yours and perish, sell and be free.

It all depends on your perception of the situation. I think you're just trying to impose your vision on us. One I think so?

Quite a dry count, which is not supported by anything. I don't like. Show an example on the chart. That would be more accurate.

At the moment, the storage of any coin causes damage. The market is going down, and long-term investments are not working.

Somehow on my calculator prices do not converge. Don't you think you have a miscalculation? Shouldn't there be an increase proportional to the dollar?

Why would you not hold bitcoin for long term when it has been proven time and time again that holding bitcoin long term give highest yield on your investment and the fact that bitcoin be one valuable with time.

I do not know ... My opinion is the same as it is better to keep both Bitcoin and Altcoin in the long term, because they both have the advantages and perspective, to bring big profits.

BTC is the most stable on the market, therefore the bulk of the investment portfolio should be formed from it, but part of the capital can be allocated by Altcoins.

in any case, you do not need to focus all your investments on just the direction of Bitcoin. This is fraught with very negative consequences if certain forecasts are correct.

Now in the cryptocurrency market is a very difficult situation and almost 90% of altcoins represent great risks for the investor. A lot of new altcoins have fallen in price by a great many percent. I would not risk and invest in altcoins now.]

Hold is Bitcoin for long time, there is no much profit. You know why ?

Because if you only hold Bitcoin your balance will grow up only on USD rate. For example you hold 1 BTC . Current price 7500$. It's might 10k after some day. But you still have only 1 BTC.

Now think you have 1 btc and you convert it into BCH. Example for 1 BTC you get 10 BCH. Rate per bch is 0.1 BTC .

After some day if Bitcoin grow up, At the same time BCH also will grow up.
If bch rate grow 1.5 btc then you will have 1.5 BTC.

But before buy alt coin please select best coin to avoid dump.

So what you think. Hold alt coin or Bitcoin ?
Only BTC. the altcoin market has a big problem now. Forecasts show that there will be no rebound in the next few years. Now only BTC is safe.

I disagree with you . Bitcoin is a good option for a long term holding , unlike bitcoin cash or any other altcoin , because you never know when this altcoin will dissapear from market , while bitcoin will always be there and will defintely greatly increase in value over time

In my opinion, the right time for the long-term hold is half a year, if nothing changes on the market, you can sell the coin, if you see how the price starts growing then wait a little bit more

This is the right strategy for long-term investment. However, I advise you to divide your investments into several investments. Half of the investment is done in bitcoin, and the remaining half is invested in other coins. Then the risks of losing their funds are very minimal. If you invest only in a coin, it is not a fact that it will grow according to this schedule, as you predict. Then you can not earn money, more than that, lose it.

I only hodl Bitcoin until its price increases and I will sell to make a profit. That is my strategy so far, I will hodl my bitcoin when the price down and sell when the price increases.

I've always been in favor of holding altcoins. I have never held Bitcoin and I am not going to start doing it. That's it.

Yes, your calculation is right and so I have BTC with more altcoins. I think if BTC goes 100% from the current price then we can see the big price but not a big profit. Because it's so hard to go to 100% in a short time for BTC but Altcoins can do it. So I like to hold altcoins which are good in the market.
