For all that I gleam about EBT in terms of physical, mental, and electronic work that goes into EBT why is it that via Market Cap the coin's price and volume are both extremely low?
The Market Cap for BTC (Bitcoin) is as high as it is because everyone knows about it. They might not understand Bitcoin, or use bitcoin, but they know about it and so they're investing in it. Who knows anything about the 300+ alt-coins, including EBT, other than a few miners and posters on bitcointalk.org? The doom of every altcoin is that it comes out and miners try to get as much of it as they can to sell on an exchange for BTC. Other than trade up value to BTC, altcoins aren't good for anything else yet. That's why I'm hoping that flea market site takes off and other sites like it follow. Until coins are actively being used to buy real goods and services and merchants are willing to accept them they're not good for anything, so why put value into them? This is why we need to entire community to push for EBT to be accepted at sites like altoutlet.com so that we can actually use the coins for something. We need more developers who believe in EBT to build faucets, dice games, make promotions, publish news articles about it. EBT's value is low right now because no one knows about EBT and those who do know about EBT can't do anything with it.# of EBT faucets: 1 (magicinternetmoney) # of BTC faucets: 100+ # of businesses accepting EBT: 0 (for now) # of businesses accepting BTC: 12,000 # of "real" news articles about EBT: 0 (for now) # of "real" news articles about BTC: many and daily BTC's value for the first 2.5 years was under $1 EBT has only been out 4 months? It's up to us as early adopters to change this.

Not a lot of people mining, so the diff is low. It is cheap to mine some of them. True, and that is a good thing, but has no direct effect on the valuation of the cryptocurrency. Miners usually accept whatever the market would give, however within the marketplace between traders, that is where the real market value is created until it is used in real life. There are MANY coins that have come out AFTER EBT do a whole lot less work and have vastly higher values across the board. EBT is an undervalued, underapprecated work horse, I think I'll have to change that.

If someone can make more faucets, I'll help donate to support it.
If someone can make casino games, I'll bet on it.
If someone want's to sell something for EBT I'll bid on it (unless it's a unicorn or a yacht...unicorns scare me and I don't think I have enough EBT for a yacht yet.)

After those 90 days, you can move it to another wallet to mint it again.
That's a very common misunderstanding about Proof of Stake. You don't have to manually do anything to mint coins except unlock your wallet!Once a stake mints coin it goes back into your wallet and starts accumulating age. You do nothing and it will stake again when it matures.

You have to have patience. EBT is a special brand of coin. First, send a transaction to your friend and see how long it takes to show up in your wallet. It's instant (although it does take about 3 minutes to be fully confirmed, by design). The EBT network is super fast and very healthy. Second look at any of the voting pages of the exchanges. The EBT team does not allow any bought votes because buying votes is for pump-and-dump coins. Third, look at the pre-mine. It's fully accounted for and the premine that has been spent has been spent completely on development. EBT is a long-term coin. The philosophy of the development team is to keep EBT healthy in terms of the block chain and network as a long term objective. The idea is to build value by building adoption. This is done by maintaining a strong, dependable brand with a clean public image and also by extending the technology surrounding the coin. This won't put money in the pocket of short-term speculators any time soon, but it will reward users, miners, and long-term speculators ("investors") in time.

This won't put money in the pocket of short-term speculators any time soon, but it will reward users, miners, and long-term speculators ("investors") in time. All of that is good, admirable in fact, but it doesn't preclude the CC from having higher present value, it doesn't stop anyone from buying the coin on an exchange, and it certainly doesn't stop anyone from profiting in the short run. Today I saw a EBT volume for the day of $100, that' simply insane, there's no justification for that in my mind. So I ask the direct question: Do you want the value to remain low, do you want the exchanges who have it to delist it, do you want all other exchanges to ignore it -- is that part of the overall long-term plan? Auroracoin is nose-diving, I actually recommended that they request being delisted from the exchanges because it is simply hurting their brand. For them a low price wards-off investors allowing holders to keep their CC more in-house. So I know there are reasons for most of the things that happen, but when those things aren't obvious, questions are asked. That's why I'm asking -- why, is it by design, is that what you want? If not, I assure you, even as a rookie, I could have that price increased dramatically in days.

The overall long-term plan is to promote adoption by keeping the blockchain and network healthy and by strengthening the EBT brand through image management and technology enhancements. These approaches are the best way to ensure that businesses accept EBT in the future. Very few altcoins are accepted by any businesses right now, although the future is very promising and we want to be a part of it. It is patently against the team's philosophy to artificially elevate EBT's exchange value. In fact, the EBT team has rejected offers from whales to fund votes on exchanges. EBT is simply not a pump and dump coin. The EBT team certainly hopes that no exchanges remove EBT. If it is removed, it won't be because of a dysfunctional network or unhealthy block chain. More likely it will be because the EBT development model does not include the creation of pump and dump cycles. Auroracoin is nose-diving, I actually recommended that they request being delisted from the exchanges because it is simply hurting their brand.
Auroracoin reached astronomical value within days of being released. The auroracoin team promised vastly more than the coin could possibly deliver. It's not comparable to EBT. The EBT team promises coin health, a strong brand based on image, technology, and reliability, and increasing adoption. We believe that an emphasis on these objectives is the best way to add value to the coin in the long run.

If you want to check the EBT to USD valuation: cryptofleamarket.com/rates Keep in mind the site itself is still being developed but we've been monitoring the rate engine for bugs all week and so far it appears stable and accurate based on manual calculations for the coins we're initially adopting at their respective exchanges. http://www.cryptofleamarket.com/rates.jpgThe rate engine updates our database hourly but the rates page is set to update once every 6 hours until the site is finished to avoid excessive calls so if there's a big jump in price on the exchanges we may be behind a bit.

https://www.swisscex.com/votingEBT just got added to the SwissCEX voting page. "Long term" goals aside, this coin could really use some added exposure before it winds up like QRK with just a few players holding all the coins. 58% are already mined.

Just an update, ebt.dsync.com is back up and I got my manual withdrawal for the ebt in the pool. I've started mining there again ( but I set my auto deposit amount lower just in case.)
Anyway, scary after what happened to me with DOGE on a different pool, but all seems like it's in order now.
