Hi Community, I have been entrusted as the caretaker of maxcoin website, github, reddit & bitcointalk accounts. This is only temporary, it will be handed to the people in due time and when I see fit the community strong enough to take over. It needs to be strong, so far, the reboot has been rather good. Well tickle me tonsils ... YOBit is working!!! https://yobit.net/en/trade/MAX/BTCWas I the only major bag holder who devotedly mined this for 2 years, from February 2014 to February 2016, even 2017 when the difficulty level got down to 13, AND NEVER SOLD A COIN? Yes ... yes, I think I was!!! I think it's time to pay the 3 year retro-active electricity bill! LOL ... God it felt good to finally sell/trade a few Maxes ... The only problem I had with Max was, transactions above 5000 didn't work, wallet says transaction too large (had to often drop the amount). Does anybody have a solution? IIRC it's not the 5000 max that is the problem it's the number of source blocks needed to make up the transaction. i.e. 2500 * 2max or 5 * 1000 max blocks With many coins you need to do some housekeeping and minimise the number by sending to yourself I have recently sent 10s of ks without issue (max was a very fast deposit on YoBit too) but my blocks are ~1650 max If these were still mining outputs there would be huge numbers of them |

Thanks so much for the answer ... but I really don't know how to do that ...
No major problem, I already did it a dozen times ... and have no intention of doing more at the moment ...
But, I think the wife is going to be happy that we get the electric-bill back.
I'll just send what the wallet allows me to do ... and slowly figure it out with time ...

Unfortunately, I won't be donating ... I really believe it's the wrong move ... giving things away, has no value ...
This is the biggest problem of the Maxcoin community, and the main reason why the coin was almost dead in 2016: miners and community members who don't invest in the coin publicity and only mine or buy coins for short term profit reasons. Shame on you. At this stage, the 3 years have more value to me, then selling short ... this has been a wonderful ride ... and I wouldn't trade it for the world ....
i can honestly say, that I NEVER sold a Maxcoin, until this past week, only to pay for the e-bill ... and I mined it for 2 solid years (Feb 2014 to Feb 2016) with everything we had ... then, put a little machine on it for 2017 ...
While everybody got obsessed with everything else, going for the short, I went long ...
So, tell me, what have you done to get the coins???

Second problem of Maxcoin: too many idiots are supporter. You used hours to write bullsh*t. Time u didn't use to promote the coin. Shame on you again. You are asking other people (dev team) what they can do for you. What do you do for the community? What did you do? If you really have a dr title, than use your brain to promote the coin. Write nice articles. Do something for the community. Then people do something back for you. |
