All eggs one basket
Didn't cover costs along the way - just WOW!
Expected growth despite evidence
Hopium addict
FOMO elsewhere
No immediate gratification on reboot
No patience to trade and make market
RAGE QUIT!

Yeah the guy who talked of shifting coins in 5k lumps sold them the same way into ever decreasing returns

Top job

I'm trying to sync my old max wallet from scratch with a new Qt source build and it's stuck at block 630899. Is there a bootstrap or blockchain available for download?

Haha ... FOMO ... haha ... you're killing me ... I'm retired dumb ass ...
Did any of you ... (many words can go here) ... have enough real money to run a mining network for 3+ years without needing a dollar?
All eggs in one basket concerning the mining (well, for 2 years sure, but mining has been around longer than that there sugar plum).

And it wasn't about needing to earn monthly income like most ... it was about having fun with an opportunity with future speculation ...
How many times have you heard about people wishing they never sold the coins?  Bitcoins, Ethereum ... ?
Maxcoins could have been one of the largest speculative investments ever ...

No patience for trade ... haha ... do you sit on my lap to see what I do ...
RAGE QUIT ... haha ... just smart enough to realize that going from 61 sats to 3000 sats was good enough for me ... considering it was lost.
Sold them into ever decreasing return ... another stupid comment without seeing my sell, or buy orders during that entire time.

Sold them, and bought an ICO which quintupled my position in 7 days ... and I sold Maxcoin to a point where, it never forced the price down.
And since someone else dropped the bomb, offloading 500,000 Maxcoins in 12 hours, I'm now in a position to leverage my Maxcoin position by 25+ times over, for all you math geniuses out there ...

So tell me, was it the right move there Einstein?

I just don't see where Maxcoin is going, especially after seeing what is going on ... and, I understand my position very well ... selling 80% and keeping 20% for future speculation is where I'm going to stay.

Criticism without comprehension only reflects that immature relative perspective of incomplete comprehension ...

Top job ... thank you very much, I'll take it as a compliment ...

HAHA! soooo easy to poke...

so to be clear ... you're NOT OUT then are you ....

kelly will be disappointed.

So retired people don't have have any cares about exciting or interesting things going on around them and don't worry that they might not be a part of them?
OK "retired" FOMO denier then.

2 years of blinkers, ignorant of more profitable things to mine along the way! ... erm diversify! (important word write it down)

Takes on huge pile of risk with no exit plan .. duh .. and don't say you didn't because apparently you held onto mining a dead coin for YEARS and you were
practically jizing yourself over the idea that your chickens had come home to roost.
Now you are complaining about obscene losses because it didn't turn out that way immediately and you need to trade the nuts out of your pathetic little bag (relative) to make it right

Not having to scrape for monthly expenses does not offer bragging rights in any sphere of life, some people can't through misfortune or no fault of their own
and it certainly does not excuse stupidity and poor judgement. "Shame on you"

Killing expenses and speculating profit is just pain good practice in risk mitigation not to mention common sense. Einstein!

You were not "having fun with an opportunity with future speculation" I believe "freezing you nuts off keeping your rigs cool" (while you wife batters you for ODing
the electricity bill i'm sure) was the phrase you used. In a deleted post.

MAXcoins could still be the biggest speculative investment ever (cough) but you're out right? -

Personally I rinsed and repeated many trades along the way - all my mined coin funds are still in place (trash excluded)..... the coins I mined back in the day now pay out
more in interest and good trading opportunities than I ever mined on a daily basis (deducting costs ofc which are now ZERO) I kept my house warm for several winters with
my heaters, I mean rigs,  and when I switched them off everything was paid for and there were some nice big bags to hold and play with. - eerrrm  yeah well read that how
you like but calling me sugar plum and asking me to sit on your lap to watch you "trade" are not going to fly buddy.

I probably did not make as much return as you did in the last week, but neither did I rage quite a perfectly workable trading vehicle. I have asset I can use and I will continue
to enjoy doing so. I'm happy that I didn't LOSE anything, yeah we all have that if only trade just a click away but lets be honest if we didn't click it  it didn't happen.
What you are claiming to have lost, aimlessly mining and taking on risk for no credible reason beggars belief.

Anyway It was fun watching you bemoan your existence and self pity the sh1t out of your own ineptitude - best regards to your long suffering wife.

So FlungSpun you think he should have sold instead of mining and holding all those years?  Yet Kelly seems to want to shame him for selling now?

Which is it, sell or not to sell?  Promote maxcoin or don't promote maxcoin?  Maxcoin is a speculative investment or FOMO?

Seems like you're more interested in a poking a bear than giving any actual persuasive thought.  Troll is as a troll does...

Well I thought i made that pretty clear.
Mining blindly without mitigating costs / debt will lead you right to where Four_toes landed. bemoaning his -ve $$$ and hoping for a big win. (too much hope and moaning for me)
There is no definitive right or wrong here, we all make our choices and plans and live with them. They are all shades of grey but he took an extreme binary choice,
very risky and then wrote essays of Waaaagh!!, call the wambulance hes butt hurt..

Promoting maxcoin seems like a dead duck to me until a team has all said ducks in a row, website, dev team etc etc ... I fear the ducks are dead anyways.
But saying that, there is still value in trading the market. If holders actually spent some time generating a healthy market volume to trade and enjoy people
will come play on it. Oh but look, since yesterdays meltdown the volume is practically zero again so no one in their right mind is going to buy a piece to play the swings.

Maxcoin, like all others is a speculation .. Four_toes was FOMO into selling his bag (most of which he should have de-risked at the beginning (only my opinion)

Yes I did indeed poke the bear because, I'll admit; he got under my skin. Enough egocentric arrogant BS blaming everyone else for his woes and how their low IQ is so
inferior to his huge brainy I just googled / thesaurus some big words when he quite obviously did one of two bad things.
Weak handed his long play to fail to cover his bills OR made a howling mistake making the bed he is lying in in the first place . Both pretty extreme choices to get himself there.

My experience on max since "reboot" is like this
I had some max on exchange and I have been trading it - its notional value to me is Zero (all debts paid)
Over the last week I have made 0.2 btc (big woo right)
I have lost control of a small amount of max but if I do the extreme (silly) math. my current vector makes my holdings ~55Btc and it will take me 9.5 years to exit my position
Make of that what you will.

"Killing expenses and speculating profit is just pain good practice in risk mitigation not to mention common sense."  << please take this as an attempt at a persuasive thought
or a warning to anyone of the new generation of miners who maybe about to fall into this trap.

Please understand that while I meant every word of what I wrote much of it was done with a smile on my face as Four_toes decided to dumb-ass, sugar plum and Einstein a
simple list of points explaining what I had taken out of his prolific TLDR theses in this thread (now mostly deleted)

I don't consider a retort in the same way I do a trolling.

Anyway he's laughing, I was laughing at the time but
Big round furry paw bear / sugar plum / sit on my lap and watch me trade Huh sorry tad too homo erotic for my tastes

He's still banging on about how much he knows, you know ...... he knows you know you know .... or should that be ..... bah who cares...

Max needs some volume on the exchanges and some movement in the market. Trading is a fun challenge for those who aren't cripplingly over invested
If we can create that kind of atmosphere around here it will look like a market worth engaging in. No one (me) gives a stuff about the same old words banded about
by all the alt coins (infinitesimally small differences in USP) they want a coin that works in environment that looks like it will last the distance and have character enough to enjoy participation.

Bravo at least you're willing to admit why you were posting what you did.  To be fair Kelly likely got under Fourtoes skin by attempting to shame him into support of Maxcoin.  Something that seems like a stupid tactic and just as blindly hopeful as Fourtoes likely was in his years of mining without taking profits.

I admit I couldn't even make it through half of what Fourtoes was even trying to say in his posts because it largely seemed like the mindless rambling writing just for the sake of reading his own words.  None of it was insightful or well formed.  It sounded more like what a drunk would write when they can't control the stream of their own consciousness anymore.  There might have been bits of wisdom in there, but it was far too drowned out by mindless soliloquy.  Was it to demonstrate intelligence or was it just to make people confused?  I guess it doesn't matter if you aren't willing to pay attention to it.  Not to mention to say you are leaving multiple times only to return to a spout more pages of text just demonstrates his lack of wanting to commit to the choices he's made.

I am surprised that some here focus on sellers. There are as many maxcoins bought by others. Think about that again.

Fourtoes no one was looking to you for answers other than wondering why the hell you're putting up page after page of nonsensical drivel that had no purpose other than to make you look like a raving lunatic.

Congrats you keep succeeding.

To confirm, I just checked ... here are the active nodes on the network:
So, add these to your maxcoin.conf file ... I just updated mine.

addnode=89.212.78.74:8668
addnode=104.234.220.135:8668
addnode=76.181.12443:8668

addnode=46.11.165.127:8668
addnode=41.148.107.27:8668

And a couple of IPv6 addresses.

addnode=[2001:0:9d38:953c:303d:15fa:b34a:83d4]:3870
addnode=[2001:0:9d38:78cf:10d9:3bed:b09e:177b]:8668

I'm trying to use a GUI wallet, not mine the coin... if you download a wallet it should just work. If it doesn't, then please explain to me like I'm 5 how do I add those to the .conf file.

I know how to find my wallet.dat in the roaming/maxcoin file but I don't see any ".conf" file so I don't know how I'm supposed to add nodes. I'm sure I'm not unique, not everyone mines

Just create the file with notepad or any text editor and paste those lines into the file.

Make sure the file is named maxcoin.conf and not maxcoin.conf.txt like Windows will likely try to name it because you have known file extensions hidden.

make  a txt file in the roaming file and put in your rpcuser      rpcpassword     and addnodes    then   save as just like i put it here   "maxcoin.conf" hit save      copy and paste with quotations and you got it
