Has anyone tried mcxNOW or Coins-e ? How do they compare to Cryptsy ?
So far quite happy with mcxNOW. Also, site is much faster than Cryptsy.
Also deposits/payouts are fast, especially compared to Cryptsy.
Tho, could have been just Doge issue with Cryptsy..

No it's not just DOGE, cryptsy is problematic with everything. I don't know why they are so popular.

The [FAIL] launch of Maxcoin

The [FAIL] launch of Maxcoin, the cryptocurrency fronted pumped by Max Keiser. This was probably one of the few several success FAIL stories of the last week...unbelievable minimal effort and technical development that was going into Maxcon...
http://therealasset.co.uk/bitcoin-maxcoin/

Corrected.
"Buy my silver Keiser coins! Buy my digital Max coins!" Hahaha...

Oh and everyone who bought it while the price of Bitcoin was going down in relation to the almighty dollar, compound losses...

If you don't like Maxcoin, then simply go somewhere else like an adult.

thanks again onzoom....

still no luck using your settings and then adding to the 40 or so nodes I had in my config file.

firewall is off...

I'll try downloading a fresh copy from the site.

thanks for your input  Smiley

I was pulling my hair out with the same problem until I worked out that the wallet wasn't reading my config file at all.  To test if it has read your config file, open up the RPC console and use the addnode command to add one of the nodes from your config file.  If it has read the file you will get an error:

addnode maxcoin.cloudapp.net add (remember to use a node from *your* maxcoin.conf file)
Error: Node already added (code -23)

If it happily accepts the command then it has not read the file, probably because it is in the wrong place or something is wrong with the filename.

The fact the above is needed to get this piece of crap to work proves how badly developed this coin is, I really don't understand how people can support this monstrosity

+1

Maxcoin was my first time going to mcxnow, usually used btc-e/cryptsy.

What an eyeopener!, mcxnow is blazing fast, no lags. Transfer in/out is amazingly fast (cryptsy can take forever some times!).
Just overall gonna stick to mcxnow if they have the coin I'm currently mining/trading!

were wallet?

not that hard to find: http://maxcoin.co.uk/

Also had a issue with Cryptsy yesterday, the didnt show my DOGE deposit. Anyway after submitting a ticket the problem was resolved fast.
No problems with Coins-E so far, but their market depth for MAX seems to be a bit buggy.

That's the kind of PR drivel that Max is capable of. I own Maxcoin myself and any pump will benefit the miners who have this coin and have not yet sold. This however is pure BS.

Max coin developers should re-label it Marx Coin for the sheer amount of Utopian delusional ideology they are spreading..

we have invented a new system which is better than fractional reserve banking and better than Bitcoin.. do not be fooled.. it may look like Bitcoin and we may have even "borrowed" the source from them.. but this is a new system.. the ONE TRUE system...... be free from the oppression of greedy banks, be free from the oppression of the Satoshi Nakamoto and the Bitcoin foundation, join us in a new free market capitalistic system where everyone is equal but some are more equal than others... Max is our savior he will lead us to the promised land...

Ironically though.. the strength of the underlying Bitcoin protocol itself is what will keep Maxcoin from dying a quick and painless death... Just like any other pop culture phenomenon Max is likely to rise before it fades away into obscurity.

and when Maxcoin does finally fade away... those Maxcoin Pilgrims will become Bitcoin converts... so its not a complete loss for Crypto Coins in general.

seriously those people who think that Cryptos Like Max do harm to Bitcoin haven't noticed the damage that Mt Gox did to bitcoin.... Max is only a diversion, a source of amusement for the masses while we bide our time before BTC goes mainstream.

I would rather see this on Coined up personally. Why do you guys trade on fee sites with 40 hour withdraws anyway: You like giving Big Vern your money?

Even with a 3% tax, 1GH is still one of the best places to mine.
