How much power does the Z9 overclocked to 750 draw? I am debating whether I can run 3 of those from one APW3++ (with splitter cables).

This topic is Z9 list of working pools/Fork updates

Questions about the hardware should be asked in another topic.

Did you guys try https://labs.f2pool.com/labs?

They just listed ZEN and ZCL

it's PPS pool so the estimates are very precise.

I think it'll be the case going forward, the last 2 days. there has been a HUGE influx of hashrate.  zencash alone is up to 120MH, up from 80MH 2-3 days ago.

expect returns to continue to drop as more asics come online.

MPH switching performed poorly yesterday too.  I think we may be seeing the effect of all our asics.

yesterday

vs 3 previous days
2018-07-11 (UTC)   0.00439799 (btc)
2018-07-10 (UTC)   0.00454665
2018-07-09 (UTC)   0.00440286

I had similar results on MPH as well, with yesterday being a down day. What did you get on 7/8/2018? That day was even worse than yesterday for me so I suspect down days are normal.

another poor mining day yesterday at mph - only ->  2018-07-13 (UTC)   0.00344388  (btc)

Just got Awesome Miner installed and saw they have a tab for Online Services which shows a list of pools and profitability.

I am trying zpool.ca , has anyone used this pool before?

Any results?

Just a note--the wires on an APW3 aren't rated for splitters (though you MIGHT be able to use a splitter for the control boards), you will likely end up drawing too much power for the wiring. Add new lines to the PSU at the bar.

zpool is an old pool, a lot of people use it.
it's good for "start and forget", like nicehash, but you'll  can get better results spending some time to exchange by yourself on adequate rates

Equihash on MPH is deteriorating rapidly >

2018-07-14 (UTC)   0.00296597
2018-07-13 (UTC)   0.00344388
2018-07-12 (UTC)   0.00354236
2018-07-11 (UTC)   0.00439799
2018-07-10 (UTC)   0.00454665
2018-07-09 (UTC)   0.00440286

If you look at the prohashing.com Equihash dashboards you see the same trend: payout/hash dropping 10-20% in the last week and difficulty climbing. The 8000'ish Mini's are all coming online Smiley

When's the ZEN hard-fork that prevents Z9 from mining it?

When's the ZEN hard-fork that prevents Z9 from mining it?

Their blog said they would try for 4-6 weeks after their July 1 update (https://blog.zencash.com/zencash-statement-on-potential-equihash-algorithm-change/). So early/mid August? But they also said they could review/change that decision: so maybe never?

Thanks, happy days!
I've been pulling 1.2-1.7 ZEN per day since the Z9 arrived.

ADD TO LIST

Don't bother using zpool with the z9. I connected to it when I first got the z9 and was making less than 50% of what whattomine was indicating, figured it might have been an unlucky day and went elsewhere. I decided to try it last night, with setting BTC as the payout coin hoping that would help, still same issue. Running OC'd at 750, ~16,300 hash I generated .00052464 BTC over 7.5 hours. Obviously I know this isn't a massive dataset, but i'm not going to waste 24 or more hours to confirm what I already know. At that rate, it is generating less than half of what I have been experiencing at any other pool.

There must be something on their pool not playing nice with the z9. I would add it to the list so no one else wastes their time like I did.

Yep, zpool is crap, half of reported or estimated values on their own site. Should be warning against using this pool at the top.

I'm mining Zen on Zpool which seems to be accurate according to whattomine.com. True, the pools estimates seem overcalculated by about .2/day but I don't see the problem as long as i'm getting the correct payouts according to an accurate calculation.

I agree!! From July 11 thru July 16th I got the following ZEC payments (rounded):

0.096
0.085
0.049
0.058
0.036
0.249

I look at my payments daily and noticed this downward trend.  I was thinking maybe the difficulty went way up or something (i.e. Bitmain running their new Z9 "max" before shipping them in September Roll Eyes ).  However, I checked some mining calculators and saw I was getting WAY lower than I should be for the hash rate I was at.

So I immediately moved off Antpool for ZEC and went to FlyPool  https://zcash.flypool.org/ - never used FlyPool before but figured it all out - pretty easy.

In about 21 hours of mining I have around 0.12 ZEC on FlyPool.  More like it!

Maybe Antpool was having some issues??? OR just taking ZEC from us???
