While doing cryptocurrency, and it's a little more than a year, I use MEW and can not say anything negative about it. It seems not hacked and there were no problems .

I have not done anything specifically on my wallet. so far too well, because I'm sure, the wallet created and used to store crypto is very safe and is already created to protect its users from hackers.

Wallets themselves are secure provided no one else knows your private key. So if you use a wallet derived from a passphrase, be sure to use a random passphrase. Likewise, any virus on your machine could find your private keys, and a keylogger could decrypt them even if you secured them with a password. For this reason, it’s recommended to get a hardware wallet - an offline storage device specifically designed to be secure against cracking. If the wallet offers a two-factor authentication (2FA) take it. This means that if someone had access to your login details, they would also need your phone to get the 2FA code. However, note that text and email 2FA are not recommended as these can easily be intercepted if someone has access to your email, or ports your phone number to a new device.

Useful info. It's a good idea and safe practice to have separate private wallet for valuable assets. It should be different to from the one used for airdrop, bounties and icos. Also when you want to send tokens out of the private wallet, you should use offline sending as explained in myetherwallet page. Better if you can get a dedicated pc for this

Do not share private Keys.
Save your Keys in a different devices or papers and store them cutted in half on different locations.
Save webiste if web wallet on bookmarks.

People who are investing a lot of money should always buy a good hardware wallet. Also, they should use a reputed and secure exchange.

Better to use offline wallet. Hackers can only steal when your wallet is online supported. I am using trezor to protect my wallet.

First, the backup data encryption money wallet is very good, so you can try to restore it, if your equipment damage, fire, theft, or your cat dropped a glass of water on it.

Second, remember the sequence of Numbers or objects, so basically train your memory not to be afraid of a long random password. Or write it down on a piece of paper. Try to make 15 characters and above, case, letters, Numbers, symbols, etc. more complex than the date of birth.

Third, private key security is critical. Only the owners of the wallet should know about it and use it to "decrypt" transactions, and actually put virtual money in their online pockets. If you keep the private key on the device, you can encode it, especially if someone you don't trust can access your computer. It's also useful to prevent yourself from becoming a child who accidentally spends all of the encrypted money. You can also store your private key offline on a piece of paper or USB.

You also need efficient anti-virus software. In particular, when you are in accordance with the malware links and let hackers to obtain your password, it can protect you from the keyboard recording software, the software can record which button do you press on the keyboard, or from phishing.

I think as long as I don't reveal my private key, it will always be safe, so don't worry too much.

This is for those who use wallets with cheap transaction fee, such as ethereum based wallets.
There are some who cannot yet afford to purchase a hardware wallet. On that note, i have a suggestion on how your wallet can be safe from hackers. I have always noticed wallets that get easily hacked are those that are subject to public view.
Try as much as possible to have a separate cold wallet address that you do not copy and paste the private key, and neither do you share the address with anyone. You can use it to store most of your valuable coins.
Even if you want to transfer any coin or token to an address belonging to another person, first transfer it to your public wallet before sending it out.

I agree with your suggestions. Those are good ways to prevent your wallet to be hacked. As for me, first I bookmarked the wallet site. Then I store my private key somewhere that people cannot see. I dont open any sites that are suspicious and I stored anti-virus in my computer.

For me currently only know im token and metamask, until now I have not any constraints and hopefully not constrained. it is currently very vulnerable to web pising, from the very similar look at all, very difficult for beginners to distinguish it. I still have trouble distinguishing it. Thread like this is very helpful for me to keep my wallet.

All you need to do is to follow two basic security instructions. First, you need to store your private key safely and securely. And secondly, you need to make sure that your system does not get infected with trojans and keyloggers. It may be a good idea to purchase a laptop exclusively for crypto usage.

use a wallet that is different from the one you uses on transactions like trading, bounty hunting, etc.
secure the safety of your private key, or mayb if there is 2FA then enable it.

Has long been using mew and there are no obstacles that are very harmful. I am used to not opening any link submissions from anyone even if it's also from email because usually there is a major mistake and I also get used to open that I often use through bookmarks only, to make it easier and avoid too. I also wanted to be able to wear a ledger wallet, but obviously still not familiar and need to learn a lot.

To keep the wallet from hacker attacks, the first when join in bounty and enter the wallet address must be checked properly or not, our address and pass do not get wrong enter our wallet id because most people are wrong in entering it, it should address but it pass wallet we that we enter, it's what makes hackers get hacked and the second get used to our wallet in connect with our email so every transaction in and out there is notification in email.

Yes, it is a good idea to secure your privacy with a private key. In most cases, do not forget the antivirus software and use the browser's metacert to authenticate crypto-related or exchange sites. Backups should check regularly for things related to offline places and secrets.
- And should update this support topic regularly. You will have more information on how to secure your wallet better.

I lock the folder that I use for storing important data including a wallet. This is because the anticipation, so that hackers can not break the data that I have. And in this way I feel more secure from the threat of hackers.

In this online market too many people already lose his money for hackers related resign so most of the people want to protect his account so I just suggest, if you want to protect your wallet you can use Mata mask or you can use hardware wallet because hardware wallet is very safe so you can use and check, hope you chose hardware wallet.

The question can be answered with the tendency of our preference in the world of cryptocurrency, whether it will be an active trader or just a passive investor and wait for the price to rise. To find out which of you belong to which people, then we need to answer the following questions:

Do you need a wallet for everyday buying and selling activities or just buying and holding crypto money assets?
Do you have plans to use some crypto currency or just one type only?
Do you need access to a digital purse wherever you are or just want to access it if at home?

If you're a typical user who constantly uses crypto money to buy everyday needs then you can choose to keep your wallet on a mobile phone or in cloud or cloud computing services.

However, if you plan to buy and hold crypto money assets for future investments, then you should keep your wallet on a hardware or printed wallet.

Hackers? discipline for what you've do in the internet and the crypto world.
