This is just a heads-up for all ypool miners! Watch out!
Hi, Miroslav Petrovic - I trust you have applied the same due diligence to maintaining your own domain registration information in an up-to-date fashion. :-) http://www.ip-adress.com/whois/smscentar.comI don't believe for a second that jh00 is up to no good, at least regarding users of his pool. Using fake company info is however certainly on shakey legal ground. dga, I don't believe it's right for you to be publishing personal information about private citizens. I would expect someone of your academic standing would think about the consequences of such actions. It's not personal - it's a business domain registration, with voluntarily-included information that any registrant knows is publicly available.

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks

I dont see how my personal or business information is of anyones concern here - I dont do any business with fellow miners nor have i scammed anyone here. You are mad because of the dev fee removal i posted earlier ? An associate professor at Computer Science Department Carnegie Mellon University, yet you do not know how to strip a binary ? You are a joke my "friend".

does rminerd works as well as the xpt miner?
Not currently. Just try to sign up again and let me know if it keeps doing this.

Just to clarify this, the info is not fake. Or at least not on purpose. All data is correct except the company name. When we registered the domain we tried to think ahead and it turned out that "ypool gmbh" is not the company name/form that we settled for. It will be corrected of course. The problem is that Miki (primer-) doesn't even want to hear our explanation. He just came here to make us look bad. I have no idea what I did wrong to make him this angry. I was doing due diligence on you and Ypool GmbH. No hard feelings here. I've just had it with "fly-by-night" companies. I'm not looking for answers, community is. You run a business, where is this business registered, under whose jurisdiction ? What was your annual turnover last year (public information under Austrian law) and how much did you pay in taxes (Public information under Austrian law) ? Why the secrecy ?

Not currently. Just try to sign up again and let me know if it keeps doing this. it works now but I don't have any kh/s on my stats, shares or blocks. that is strange. is this correct: minerd.exe --url stratum+tcp://ric.infinitypool.tk:6400 -u compwarez.rickyman -p xxxxx pause

does rminerd works as well as the xpt miner?
Not currently. is the ypool miner source private or what is the reason for that? does it rely on stratum+tcp at all? i dont know much about ypool and how the mining works there so sorry if that question is stupid

I'm testing a port of my miner core into rminerd, but it needs a complete rewrite to take advantage of stratum. Gatra, does the riecoind support stratum mining, or just the pools? (i.e., is there an easy way to test on testnet?)

new cpuminer uploaded to github https://github.com/gatra/cpuminer-rminerdaccepted: 222/222 (100.00%), 42193804 khash/s (yay!!!) Now I'm debugging something strange: after mining for a while, the miner says it received this packet: [2014-03-18 14:58:25] < {"params": [8], "id": null, "method": "mining.set_difficulty"} setting difficulty to 8, so obviously I didn't find any more shares after this... looks like I'm back to debugging the server... EDIT: indeed.... logs from server: 2014-03-18 13:57:19,177 DEBUG DBInterface # DB_Mysql_Vardiff INIT ... ... 2014-03-18 13:58:22,251 DEBUG DB_Mysql # Setting difficulty for gatra.user to 8
but I thought difficulty was fixed and vardiff was disabled.... it must be disabled for Riecoin to work.

is this better than the other miners ? It should be slightly better than the open source official miners for ypool because I precalculate inverses. But it's not better than closed miners that are around here and use larger primorials. Will look into that after the pool server code is stable.

not yet, but the latest changes are needed only if you want to run your own pool
