God THe deficullty is going crazy
Max difficulty achieved thus far is 1712: http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~dga/crypto/ric/diff_offset_2014_03_27.pngWhich is also the current diff. I'll get this graph automated over the weekend for at least daily updates so I can stop squawking about it, or commit the tools to generate it into the fastrie github so that someone else can do it easily.

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks

I compiled a Mac version of dga's miner, you can find it here: http://riecoin.biz/xptminer-macI used the latest github but it prints b11, and compiled using OSX 10.8.5, please test it and let me know how it works. Looks like we'll have OSX versions for the next version of the wallets ("Riecoin core")! It has a default developer fee of 2%, half for dga and half for me

Not another Hype-Coin. Besides a tweak to the algorithm there is (yet again) nothing of real value with this new coin. Wow you can find prime numbers. PrimeCoin does that. Problem is everyone is scratching and scraping to get on the next "Bitcoin" so any new coin that gets released everyone and their grandmother jumps on it.

Its soo strange how 1.5 BTC raises price by 25%, yet there are only like 4 BTC worth from 20-90 everything else seems above 400. Then again it shows how much people feel this coin is wayy undervalued.

So then why did you bother coming on here to post and bad mouth it? If you don't care about it then don't bother. It is different than Primecoin and things are getting ramped up. It has significant scientific and mathematic benefits to the community but you are more than welcome to sit back and watch how it progresses. What makes you sad about Riecoin specifically? I'd like to be able to address your concerns.

ypool mined 95 out of the last 100 blocks... I don't think the number of workers is a worthwhile statistic..

I got 10k followers..not much per say but maybe with right marketing wallpaper post and causing some sort of "thinking" within them maybe they can burst and spread out the name doing me a favor since iv been a good admin for them. Leme know =] (yes i know its sorta wrong target audience..but..i mean..something would help word of mouth to spread around, maybe only 100 them spread it around reddit in their own threads and sub threads and such *shrug* idk idk ha)

Introduce them to Riecoin. If they want to learn information, go to Riecoin.org.

Since ypool has most of the hashing power and this is not good i want to mine in other pool.
But is there any other stable pool? Which? And how much less income do you expect to have in other pool?
income depends on the fee of the pool why would you expect less income? http://ric.upcpu.com/ already has 4 blocks Thanks for recommended by gatra. We are suffering some issues about the prime search definition and xpt protocol in last days. And now those issues have been solved. The pool continue to produce blocks every day. So welcome guys mine here. The pool server is set up in China, so there maybe a large latency. I'am planing to distribute the pool servers to EU and US to get more fast network access. But it is not ease, we need to modify many codes. The pool fee is still 0% for beta testing. DEV fee feature of xpt protocol is planed to develop, but also need some time.

New status update: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=541647.msg5943221#msg5943221This week, time flyed by. But it's Thursday again (at least in some time zone it still should be) and we have some news for Riecoin: - Our website riecoin.org was updated a couple of times - A Mac OSX xpt miner was released https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=446703.msg5931299#msg5931299- Riecoin Foundation is growing. Site will be up soon. - Difficulty peaked at 1712. Remember that 1857 is required in order to break the world record. As it was mentioned on the ANN thread, there are reasons to believe that Riecoin's network computing power is enough to easily break the record, but the limits imposed in order to make RIC practical as a currency as well are holding us back. This however doesn't make Riecoin less useful: we have created a repository of more than 27000 prime sextuples. - Stratum pools are still low on hashrate (or "scanrate" as I like to put it) because the most optimized miners use the XPT protocol. Ypool works fine but it's not the only pool: upcpu has already found many blocks. My current priorities: - Optimized miners for stratum protocol - work still in progress - XPT / Stratum proxy in order to use xpt miners with stratum pools - work still in progress - then comes the updated "Riecoin Core" 0.9.0 New ideas to explore: - Chebyshev's bias: is it large enough to use it for miner optimization? at first sight, it doesn't look that way, but it's effect may be amplified by the fact that we use prime 6tuples, not just primes... needs more research. Optimized miners use a hardcoded value for the remainder (or "offset") of their primorial, but is it the best value? - If we'll be hardforking to include constant difficulty adjustments, maybe we could use the opportunity to include searching for 7 or 8tuples along with 6 tuples. Best regards to all! gatra

Was just wondering, how powerful a computer/cpu is needed to at least be able to mine a block? I'm currently on ypool with Dave's optimized miner and my workers never find any at all.
