Everything can happen in the crypto, moreover in the crypto market where we can see many people can access it. Moreover, there are the whales, medium investors, and usual investors in the crypto. I am sure that many ways are conducted to gain the profits.

if altcoin and bitcoin remain small the market price will increase, so there will be many who sell it and I think this market can not be manipulated because the market price is determined by the trader himself and also the price can be determined by the supply of bitcoin and altcoin itself

I recommend reading about those who are called "whales" in the crypto-currency industry. If we talk about manipulation, then only they can purposefully influence the whole market Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Manipulation is the basis of the market, without them anywhere. In the stock market, which has been hundreds of years, schemes are thought up very many and very different.

Latest article by www.wired.co.uk stated that a newspaper by researchers  at the University of Texas at Austin's department of finance indicates that someone at Bitfinex cryptocurrency exchange may have artificially inflated the price of coins including bitcoin, ether, and Zcash. The responsible for this appears to have been Tether, a cryptocurrency with the same CEO as Bitfinex.
What are your thoughts about this? Do you think they really manipulated the price? Is it possible?
could be involved in manipulation if price increases only last for a short period of time, perhaps if the pump price rises in the long run and stable, we should be wary of such price manipulation because it only benefits some parties.

Yup, the market can become manipulated by those called "whales". They can easily manipulate the price and earn big everytime by doing the manipulation. Also, the pump and dump scheme contributes to the manipulation of the market.

This is a very good question. I think the market can be manipulated, but it is just some altcoins, or small tokens. As for Bitcoin, I don't think any organization can operate it.

Yes in my opinion it is possible. but that is absolutely different level of influence, and what we see is just a surface, who's really behind it we will never know.

Crypto is like the wild West at the moment. Its largely unregulated and therefore there is lots of manipulation.

Once there is more regulation then institutional money will flow in

I also feel that the BTC price in the market is manipulated by the Bitfinex exchange.
Most of the time, the signals that pull up or down are caused by the Bitfinex exchange. ,

I think it could happen, because cryptocurrency is a technology that can be said new and recently run, so the largest capital holders can do that, the price of cryptocurrency is also highly dependent by the pump, the price rises if there is pump and price down if dump occurs,
pump and dump in my opinion can be regarded as market manipulation,

The lack of regulation and protection of consumers on the cryptocurrency market still opens wide opportunities for the implementation of fraudulent and manipulative schemes.

there is a chance for the whales to manipulate the market especially if that person has a big balance of bitcoin. they can easily move the price to go up or down in anytime. but they cannot always do this and if the trader in the market is not moving then the price will not move too. I think the whales will take a part in manipulating the price especially if there is any bad news that happens because there are too many people that is panic and this is happening too if the price increase higher.

I strongly believe that every single market can be manipulated and is manipulated so the most smart participant will take advantage of that manipulation. Whole crypto market is manipulated (tether things etc) but it's not that bad IMO...

This is of course.
The market is now unmanaged, and the price of its currency is high and low. We can't do anything about it. Besides, the encryption market is still immature, and it can be operated before it matures. It is inevitable that the market can operate the market.

I will say more, many investors and traders are confident that the market is manipulated by a small group of people. So to say whether he is manipulated? Of course! I can not provide proofs, but this is my personal opinion based on intuition.

Of course, those who have big money will be manipulating the crypto currency market. This is not only here, but in any other sphere. With money, you can create an information background and move the market wherever you want.

everything is possible, especially in such a small area of activity - crypto currency. Because here there are not such big turns on the sizes with the world market, therefore there are large players

Yes, no doubts in it that market can be manipulated. There are much research are still contending that how to stop this type of manipulations. Recent bitfinix did the process to increase their coin prices and they succeed in that. See marketplace become more competitive day by day. Each and everyone wants to go to the top of this marketplace by hook or crook.
Here the main problem happens if anyone tries to do this type of things many are hampering the full market network. People came here to invest to come here to make some company rich or some person rich. The scams are increasing day by day. Its very necessary to stop this type of things otherwise this market will vanish.
