Another five star performance from the goonerz and another high scoring result for us which takes us again to the top of the goal difference chart. Really wanted another clean sheet but still a brilliant play all round from all the boys.

For all the talk around Karius before the match, he managed to be one of their best players on the pitch.

What happened to Newcastle United with all of their money? They're battling with squad depth and spent the entire January transfer window fighting to keep Trippier from Bayern Munich without adding anyone to the squad to help with all of the injuries. I was expecting a major rebuild along the way.

Klopp is playing mind games with D. Nunez and Salah fitness. Reminds me so much of Mourinho. Lol

Scoring 4 or 5 or 6 goals every game, this is not even the Wenger Arsenal and they are just all over. Now nobody ever mentions they need a proper striker, even their main one is injured and forgotten.

And it's not bad opponents too, Newcastle, Liverpool.

City struggled with two back to back 1-0 wins. But usually Champions are the ones who win when they can't play well they say!!

Stop bringing net spend into the argument; that is a club internal matter that has nothing or less to do with the manager

I never said he has nothing, we have a really good team and finally there was decent support for the manager. The fact is though that Liverpool's net spend is quite low - and that's because Klopp can make an average player look good.

In 2020-21 season he secured CL qualification playing without any senior defenders for most of the season. Just look at these numbers:

VVD - 33 games out
Gomez - 31 games out
Matip - 28 games out
Lovren - sold, wasn't replaced

The CB's with most games played in the PL that season were Nat Phillips (17 starts), Matip (10 starts), Rhys Williams (9 starts) and Ozan Kabak (9 starts). 3 of those are Championship standard at best.

Arsenal is impressing everyone and that is correct,I assume that lost game in Champions is because they are absolutely sure they can crush anyone in their return leg when they will be playing in London.On the Premier League side scoring 4 goals against a team like Newcastle is something not many teams can do and this shows that Arsenal is playing extremely well,the Premier League is more open than ever now as there are three teams with just 2 points difference between each other and not many weeks are left until the end of the season.I am sure if we play these three teams in parlay ticket every week,the lost tickets will be rare.

Yeah, but I believe the most of the players Liverpool sold for a good profit were old players he met who all departed during the squad overhaul time; I cannot say Klopp played a significant role in their development; these were individuals he didn't want or who left for a new challenge. But we can agree and disagree and that's why makes football beautiful.

I guess he'd have nothing to say about Van Dijk's disallowed goal, The Chelsea players indeed knew it was clearly offside and didn't need VAR intervention to make the call initially, but what's wrong with Liverpool's goal, Endo standing his ground and not moving at all need to be punished was he supposed to disappear because was trying to run through him ? This is really a disgrace. English referees are the worst ones in the world.

First of all, I don't understand how the Chelsea goal was disallowed. You simply can't see from this angle, let alone draw the lines.
They probably couldn't tell, so they followed the linesman's initial call, which was offside.
Considering how close the call was and the recommendation that the referees allow the play to go on in case of uncertainty, I really don't know why he even flagged it.

After that we have a perfectly good VVD goal, that 'block' is simply ridiculous. If it's compensation, it's a stupid one.

Ultimately, I'm really proud of the team and how we performed. We had 5 kids on the pitch, Chelsea should have put this to bed comfortably in the extra time and have only themselves to blame.
They were horrible, couldn't get 3 passes in succession.

Something funny for the end:

That is VanDijk's ball everyday of the week. The Chelsea player that Endo was adjudged to be obstructing was not veb trying to get around him, zero desire to get to the ball, when you compare that with how determined VVD was, he doesn't get close to him at all. It was a ridiculous call which shows the inconsistencies of VAR again. I thought they only called the ref over for "clear and obvious" errors?

For the offside, it's about time the FA moves to semi automated offside decisions.

I saw the highlights and VAR for BOTH goals were wrong. First of all, I thought that 2mm offside is no longer VAR territory I mean wtf I thought Premier League gave up on tiny offside VARs?

Secondly, Endo obstructing?? There is no obvious error for VAR yet they meddled. This was again a case of referee making up for the earlier VAR mistake.

As a neutral, I think Klopp is the best manager of man management. It used to be Mourinho, and to certain degree he did that with Roma. But Klopp is the epitome of 1+1 = more than 2. He squeezes out more than other managers can just by his own spirit which he copies into the team.

Look at Premier League midfield now and Liverpool has second best after Arsenal. But they are doing it with average players like Elliot and that other young guy plus Endo and Garvenburch. These guys are supposedly not elite but they can make City and Chelsea stars look so average.

Bielsa does the same, but only for physical energy, and he doesn't know how to squeeze energy back in.

Yup, it's that season. Lovren was sold at the beginning of the season, and we decided to risk it because Fabinho could cover.
Then Fabinho got injured and Hendo covered, then Hendo got injured.

It was a horrible season injury-wise, I still can't believe we finished 3rd.

I don't get you, are you that was the right call ? Endo wasn't obstructing no one, all Endo did in literal terms was stood his ground in a position he had already established, If Colwill wanted to make a play on the ball does have to go through Endo with the field that wide ? he could gone left or right ways but he chose to pass through Endo, was Endo supposed to disappear from a position he his simply because an opponent is coming his way ?

I came in here just to post about that but should have known a Blue boy would get here first. I think it's a great development -- but it really begs the question of the FA on just when and how we'll ever get clarity. League table cannot be shifting throughout the season, depending on how clubs react, how they appeal, etc.

Now if you can just find a way to get DCL back on track scoring again... you can put this all behind you.

Luton gutted, naturally but Rob already says they can't be relying on deductions anyway.

totally agree, didn't expect this much points back, but nevertheless, you can't shift points throughout the season as you like, and without clarity
overall, this should puts us on safe place, not much on us, more on Luton side, but also Forest is below now

and yeah, DCL or Beto had to start scoring, we are depending on defense to defend and score, and attack is just watching from a side

Was thinking same when I saw the news and I think the best approach for the clubs in and around the relegation zone is to have a separate table in their lockers with all gained points shown there and they work with that to know how much points they would need to stay afloat. This would mean Everton would have all ten points that were deducted reflecting on that table, putting more pressure on their players to work harder.

I also don't really think this is a fault of the league. Decisions are not set in stone and clubs always would have the right to appeal.
