can everybody update their p2pools please ?
looks like there is a p2pool (at least one) on the wrong fork
i also wasted some electricity there

Important point here, if you're on p2pool you're at the whimsy of people who are lazy to update. Make sure your peers are all on the correct client and blockchain!

Less than a day ago, the fork occurred: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=472116 missed it.

every time a fork occurs, god kills a kitteh.

sometimes when forks occur, miners kill kitteh. fucking forks.

We reached out to all known pool owners well in good time. This fork was needed to stop multipools raping the coin and leaving miners with huge diff.
KGW works well now.

Yeah the fork was announced 5 days prior to the link you referenced (if not more). We reached out HARD to pool operators starting 2/10, and even pre-released the binaries to make it abundantly clear the fork was neigh. Posted all over facebook, twitter, reddit, bitcointalk and KittehCoin forums. If your pool's contact form does not lead to a meaningful mailbox please let me know and in the future should we need to fork again I'll PM you here on BCT (alyons). We now have a "contact sheet" for pools to help mitigate this should it happen again in the future.

On the flipside it sounds like alyons made everything right, nice work in that regard Smiley

just being patient...Kitteh will wake up one day....

The only way for the price to go up is marketing this coin and having people actually interested in buying/selling/ and using it for something other than just converting to BTC. Right now multipools are killing the price of the coin because they are mining large amounts very quickly and api dumping. Looking back the worst thing that could have happened to this coin was being added to cryptsy too soon. At least being on coinedup they could not API dump.

Are there still large amounts being API dumped? Even with the spec change/KGW? The price wasn't going to jump instantly from the fork, an increase for that reason takes time. The fact is that this coin has a hard working dev team, it is being added to payment processors and exchanges often, it has an original feature upcoming, and it is undervalued.

It will go up.  Smiley

i totally agree with you. yes the multi pools are still raping this coin and dumping....this creates a chain reaction and the sheep follow and dump their coins.

the dev team is developing a tool to help with the multi pool attacks. they are top notch devs and the price will go up with time and marketing!

there is new p2pool commit at which will maybe help separating nodes running on forked chain (changed IDENTIFIER and PREFIX)
so p2pool owners please try to update

about multipools - they will always have the hashrate advantage no matter KGW (at least transactions are not stuck for hours now..)

yes they will have the hashrate advantage but there are ways to combat the attacks. KGW sure does help the regular miners though Smiley

I have a lot of unconfirmed coins from a pool who missed the fork. Deleting the chain an reloading it doesnt solve the problem.

Anything I can do about it? Are the any problems arising from this?

Thanks for your help

Hashco:
11 min 230279 coins
One hour : Aprox 1256067 coins ( would probably be lower than that due to KSW changing diff)
1.2mill is not a lot in the bigger scheme of things so yes KGW works quite well Smiley, no more raping!

Any dumping/pumping going on is by coin holders(manipulators), not multi pools.
