The thing is though, I asked a simple question and was given a cryptic answer. I still have no idea what is allegedly going to happen to Kitteh on 24th November. As someone who holds Kitteh's I would like to know but I suppose we will wait and see.

I think hashrate instability initiate this delay. Have to wait for about 8 days, but we'll do it!  

New schedule:
Block 500K will be ~1 dec - inflation rate ~8% annum
Block 600K will be at feb 2015  - inflation rate ~4,6% annum
Block 700K will be at may 2015 - inflation rate ~4% annum

P.S. Litecoin has inflation about 30% now, and Bitcoin has about 10%.

kitteh has got my ears ... very easy to build a (simple) business model upon this cat-chee brand ... nothing grandiose just a few btc put into updating the shitteh danospher code ... the community is stilll enthusiastic ... if Kitteh gets to May then she's in the game for a long long time.

Still a bit shocked out of the 3 cat brand coins none have ever developed into much of anything yet ... will there be some day ... kittehbar, kittehdark, kittehlite, urokittiepeer, kittehplusplus, kittehparty ?

Looks like block 500K is still 2-3 days behind.

But I don't see anything changing on the demand side so lower inflation won't do much.

Why isn't the blockchain moving?  Only a few blocks have been mined since yesterday.  We should have ~1400 blocks mined per day.  What gives?

We need to be at block 700,000 before any real cut in inflation and that's months away.

I think the 25 billion max cap is wrong - it would seem it's a lot higher than that.

We had another block halving before fork where we reduced number of coins. That happened somewhere at 126 000 block. Most of the coins we have now are mined in that period of time.

blockexplorer says we are after block 500k with a halving just behind us. Random rewards but should be around 5 million new coins per day now, which makes the costs of running the network right now 1 LTC each day at these prices (crazy cheap).

Explorer says 23B coins around. Calculator says less than 5% inflation pretty sure because next halving comes up in 2 to 3 months. So this coin has actually already less inflation than bitcoin.

above numbers are estimates and by no means exact (because random rewards) - i calculated 3500 average reward for right now.

the fundamentals are good here. I think halving was yesterday (1300 blocks ago)
chain seems be running just fine.
