Ethereum is better than Bitcoin?

Both are incredible in general to use in different ways, but Bitcoin will remain for a long time the best since it is the most chosen by most people to invest and generate profits daily. But we must have in Ethereum is lately being popular for its great growth and good future projects.

I have seen a lots of posts here and elsewhere comparing ethereum with bitcoin. Most say ethereum will overthrow bitcoin. I just don't get how that can be possible as they don't always have a good base for their claim. And may be I do not get them because I am new to cryptocurrency trading.

In terms of technology, of course, Yes. But bitcoin has a much higher turnover, it is more believed and it is at everyone's hearing. Therefore, there is no definite answer.

According to the latest news, Ethereum prices soared and on March 13, it reached its all-time high market capitalization of $ 2.74 billion. Analysts say the uptrend of Ethereum is due to the need of the community for a cheaper, faster, more flexible, and more stable network.

These are 2 completely different coins and platforms ! I think Ethereum is a very good coin with a lot of potential but Bitcoin is unique in its kind and I think Ethereum is dependent on it ! So I'm all for bitcoin !

Both are great in terms of their features and usability. Bitcoin is the first crypto that got people interested. Ethereum still has a long way to go to overtake Bitcoin. Ethereum has its own problems just like Bitcoin.

Many of the features listed on ethereum as basis for the argument that ethereum is better than bitcoin is what is also available on bitcoin network and even more.  Bitcoin network is extensive and definitely scale better than Ethereum. 

Yeah I know that theres also smart contract rumour for bitcoin blockchain but Its actually never practically used for companies unlike bitcoin. each have its own advantages and disadvantages.
Its just impossible to compare bitcoin thats mainly used for paying things and ETH to deploy smart contract.

no, I think Bitcoin is still the best, Bitcoin is the world's giant and has led the market for many years and until now there is still no coin that can match the BTC, I think ETH will remain in the second position after BTC.

You can´t compare Bitcoin and Ethereum or any other altcoin.
If altcoin is good, it should bring new technology, new use, not be better than some coin - we see many better coins which are dead now. And why? Because people are using adopted coins not "better" coins.

I guess there are so many copi cats outta here. I can't say a lot but if we are seeing from the various ways and then there will be so many answers for that. But in fact bitcoin is better on the adoption and store value while at the same time ether was focusing to develop the future blockchain infrastructure.

no altcoin will be better to bitcoin. they can only be second to it but it can never replace or defeat bitcoin because bitcoin is one of the first created cryptocurrency and also a a large crypto in this generation. bitcoin is one of the best without it we can no longer know any altcoin now so for me no altcoin will be better in  bitcoin.

Ethereum enthusiasts are currently increasing quite rapidly. with the presence of many of these enthusiasts bring considerable profit in the future and make Ethereum a lot of profit in the future. because it is with Ethereum that has a very capable development to be relied upon to make this coin has many enthusiasts. so in terms of enthusiasts Ethereum better than Bitcoin.

I agree. First of all, there is a big difference in the market capitalization between the two, in terms of the market value. So even if there is a possiblity of etherium beating bitcoin, it would take a few years

but in my opinion, it is very difficult to surpass Bitcoin. Because Bitcoin is the first coin and king in the market Cryptocurrency. But ETH is also good. many are investing in it. I think ETH will still be a coin no. 2 forever.

This type of questions will never end. If he/she/they think that ethereum is better than bitcoin then leave bitcoin alone and go to your favorite coin.

No matter what they tell or describe what will be a coin to become better than bitcoin, go for yourselves. Whilst, we are here still we will say that bitcoin is still the best coin no matter what you are saying.  

Including those points you've got, still bitcoin will remain as the best no matter what.

Yes to me Ethereum is the highest quality project that has great potential for future growth. I agree with Brian Kelly when she says that Ethereum will be a better investment. I think it's better than Bitcoin and will in the future be able to exceed.

ethereum blockchain is alot better than bitcoin technology-wise, since ethereum is a 2nd-generation blockchain while bitcoin is a 1st-generation blockchain.

bitcoin blockchain, on the other hand, is the most acceptable crypto currency worldwide since it enjoys 6 years advantage over ethereum.

this is what i think:
for large-volume and long-term holding, bitcoin is better.
for small-volume and frequent transactions, ethereum is better.  but i think there are other blockchain that's better than ethereum when it comes to daily spending (very low to no tx fees).
advantage of ethereum is the creation and transactions of tokens inside the blockchain.

In Ethereum vs Bitcoin battle, if I had to choose one, it’d be Ethereum! This is because it has unlimited use cases, whereas Bitcoin only tackles payment and banking issues. Bitcoin may have a better position in the market, but Ethereum has better technology and a bigger potential.

Ethereum is a much better crypto in terms of its flexibity of usage, its launching of many new tokens under the ERC-20 standard and its implementation of Smart contracts. In many ways Bitcoin is Crypto 1.0 and Ethereum is Crypto 2.0.
