Since the launch of the Bitcoin futures contract, Bitcoin’s price has plummeted and many blamed the use of investment tools to manipulate the market for this decline.

Secondly, Kelly pointed out that the Augur platform was one of the main reasons for Ethereum's rapid growth when compared to Bitcoin.
As described by the analyst, " It’s a decentralized prediction market. What’s interesting about this [is that] this will probably be one of the biggest decentralized apps on top of Ethereum. If [augur] doesn’t slow the system down, that can generally be a positive for Ethereum."

Finally, Ethereum's upgrade from hardware mining to software mining will drive the continued growth of the cryptocurrency.
Ethereum creator - Vitalik Buterin, also recently explained that Ethereum's scalability improvements to the layer solutions will multiply one to another - improving the number of users that the system can handle, which increase the processing capacity of up to 1 million transactions per second.
However, this refers to the fact that Bitcoin and Ethereum are not fully competitive. Upgrading the Ethereum platform is likely to serve more of a rivalry between competitors like EOS, while Bitcoin will remain its top position in transferring and storing value.

Well it's true that etherium has gained a lot of popularity among the people all over the world. but I still don't think that it helium is better than Bitcoin because firstly Bitcoin has been more potential users who are willing to invest money in Bitcoin than in etherium. These reasons don't warrant you to make Ethereum better than bitcoins. Bitcoins is the leading cryptocurrency with almost half dominance on the market capitalization and much liquidity, and I guess this is more reason to say bitcoin is the best.

Both of them (Bitcoin and Ethereum) look very bad. Actually now is now right time for investments on long term conditions. Personally I think that Bitcoin will drop below 2000$ and Ethereum under 70$ by the end of spring of the next year. But as we now Ethereum is going to change PoW to PoS. That's why in autumn we will se some rising of Ethereum price, but I think not more than 450$, and after that it will crash again. It is better to think about long term investments on Bitcoin and Ethereum only in the middle of the next year.

Yes, ethereum has technology that is certainly better than bitcoin. Bitcoin is the first crypto currency which certainly has the highest position, so that it is currently proven to dominate the market which is more than 50%. I think for now investing in bitcoin will be better. So, both have their own advantages and are worth investing.

Why would someone suggest or think that etheruem is better than bitcoin, I think there are lots of post on this platform that have correct this same mistake about people comparing etheruem with bitcoin,. Both bitcoin and ethereum are unique in their own way which makes it hard for us to compare them. I think bitcoin would still be over ethereum despite of the dip becsuse it's value and achievements is too far from what ethereum has achieved.
