The crypto world is so vast and they are interest from all continents of the world. Some investors / projects came with good intentions to make the world a better place while some to defraud investors and projects founder. Can we have a better way correct scam and lapses?
The best way to keep you safe from scam is always check their website and to the content of it. You may check if the developers are fake or not. But I suggest to you that do invest in not trusted website because most of them are scam. Just invest in trusted and legit website if you want to protect your money or token.

Unfortunately, there are more fraudsters in the cryptography world than in any other financial industry. In order to reduce the risks of remaining deceived, one should be more selective when choosing a project.

Scams can be avoided but due to ease of making funds raising by ICOs with creating attractive Website, Whitepaper, good PR management some dishonest ICOs raise funds easily as there are no constructive and strict regulations on the ICOs. Before investing do research about their team, IP addresses and their location, activities on GitHub, social medias and the most important BITCOINTALK forum. If you found anything doubtful about this ICOs just ask them in their ANN or if you found something shaddy just make a separate thread about dishonest and scammy ICOs which have something fishy behind the scenes this will take your 5 minutes but it can save other innocent investors on loosing their hard earned money.

Everyone in crypto wants to earn easy money, that is why someone will always try to scam you. Just do your self a favor, make sure that you are aware about this fact, and make sure to always secure your assets by installing software and keeping your wallets secured.

No one is immune from the actions of scammers. Nevertheless, we are able to avoid many problems if we follow some rules. Among them, I would point out the need to be convinced of the reality and professionalism of their dev team and invest only in those projects which have a team with a good reputation.

Only people who do not make any investment are protected from scam for 100%. Others are not so lucky, so they need to be attentive all the time.

Ask CEO to contact you in skype or in Linkedin and compare accounts. Idenity theft is the most widespread crime, because it is very easy to steal id.

For now there are so many projects that end SCAM and as we know that this has a negative impact on the development of digital currencies. But even though this all actually depends on our attitude, when we have broad insight, we can make decisions carefully. Investing in an ICO project does have a high level of risk, but when we have the ability, we can use the Best project to become an investment.

Try to think smart and look for projects that do have good capabilities. What we do will affect what we will get.

Most of good teams will be speakers at forums or similar stuff. That is why you need to look for the blogs from such summits in social media.

It is difficult to determine ICO scams because, scammers are now professionals.
That's right, most of the Investors these days are diligent to deal with ICO's and other investments schemes, the majority are pretty hard to fool from such cheap tricks and tactics to get their money, that's why scammers are professional to adapt to this kind of situations making their Initial coins offering and their project innocent and legit, I saw some of them are constantly updating the community with their pictures and articles about the product but it turns out to be a scam, not paying the bounty manager, community managers and Investors.

I agree nowadays, scammers are very professional in terms of executing their moves, ICO websites has been perfectly run by professional scammers, so its really really hard to detect the scam project. The only thing we could do is aside from studying all their given materials, invest only what you can afford to lose, in that it is not that hard for you to accept if at the end of the your invested project will be a possible scam.

The more knowledge about the ICOs and real features of blockchain you have, the bigger the chance for you to avoid scams. However, sometimes scammers are extremely unexpected.

It is indeed very difficult to differentiate legit projects and the scam one but never tolerate the idea, rather let us equip ourselves with knowledge and patience to really study its contents and intensions prior investing money. But above all, always have a back up plan just on case it won't work the way you want it to be.

Well, it is too challenging for a single investor to know if a project is a scam or not, as most projects nowadays shows too good to be true ideas together with their aethetically pleasing website and whitepaper that shows their so called "intentions" yet still a solid scam. For me i choose good projects depending on their developers and founders together with a few research if they alreadg have partnerships or is their partnerships legitimate. While sometimes i often trust projects that requires KYC even on their bounties.

This is a near impossible mission. Putting an end to scam or fraud. But we can protect ourselves from scam by always taking out time to make researches and not believe all the promises we come across.

Nowadays, it's difficult to know which ICO is genuine or not. Before indulging in any, one should take care to look into it properly, ask questions and make research. It's not easy even with all these done but at least you get a little convincing that the ICO is good.
