Now-a-days it is very-very difficult to know that which project is scam or not. But if we take hard search about the project's concept or idea, analyzing whitepaper, developers & management team's background and also there activities & followers on social media. Than i think by doing these things we can know much-more about project and then definitely we can reduce the risk to get scammed.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

There is no protection against scam. We all go there from time to time. So there is no cure for this disease yet. The most important thing is that investors do not lose faith.

The crypto world is so vast and they are interest from all continents of the world. Some investors / projects came with good intentions to make the world a better place while some to defraud investors and projects founder. Can we have a better way correct scam and lapses?

Even if the community is helping by posting their investigations on scam sections, still many ICO are passing through as a legit project, some ICO are legit but hardly making the softcap, so it's not only scam project but also paused and failed project that we must watch out.

It is very hard to know scam sites but at we need to make a research on how to determine about it at least we can decide whether it is scam site or not. if there is an investment or whatever offer here that gives high earnings we need to read this site carefully in order to avoid being scam. Its is very painful to get scam.

You just need to invest time in research and try to avoid obvious scams. Their are others which are hard to identify and which luck needs to ensue

Many are too greedy that they see crypto as ponzi scheme and that is why that get scammed easily, do not be greedy. Also you need knowledge to make the right decision, when you have enough information you will protect yourself from scammer to some level. You can also ask question about anything on crypto in the forum, when you do that,am sure you will also protect yourself to some extent. Be sure before you make any decision.

I think some services with kyc for founders should be established. Only after that a project can show that investors are in safe.

I think that the most important thing that we can do is not to panic and not rush when choosing a project, this is very important, because these are really the right things, I am sure that you understand what I mean.

To be able to protect yourself from attacks by scam projects, you can prevent it by expanding your knowledge and insights about crypto and ICO that you are currently or will follow, whether it's the concept or the team involved in it. Then you can also be active in following the latest news from the ICO. As much as possible look for projects that the team already has experience in that field.

We have seen cheap scams of people just using identities of others to scam which seems to have been busted as we have learnt how to do background checks to stop this scam, which is why I prefer projects that do video AMA to prove they are real and know what they are doing!

One other way is to ensure a projects white paper isn't just some copy past from other projects which is usually the first sign of a scam.

I don't think there is something special that needs to be done before you prevent yourself from scammer than be yourself and never look for something free , keep your password save and never use just any how words or number make it hard with some #@÷% sign to make it secure and don't let anyone know when you are in putting them to sign in , prevent yourself with best of your ability to make it save .

Do your own research and if you are not qualified to do a research properly just stay away and don't take the risk. Generally don't trust random people online and verify everything by yourself. Applies also to basic stuf like not keeping funds on exchanges or only using fully open source wallets (Electrum, HODLER, Armory etc.) to be 100% sure what happens to your private keys.

To protect ourselves from scam, it is important to be careful. Whenever there is a “to good to be true” deal, always think twice. Apart from this, wallet security is very important. Never ever give your private key to anyone or reveal to any website.
thats true. the most important thing is to read, study a project well, don't be easily influenced by the price or the big rewards. continuously increase the security of the accounts you have, especially those with your assets. avoid phishing websites, don't click arbitrarily.

This is not very difficult, just know how to filter the projects correctly. Find out about the project team, read the whitepaper, and stay on top of project activities such as events and conferences.

Actually there is no way to avoid 100 percent scam project or investment. The only thing that you need to do is to make a research for every investment that you are possible to make it is help to reduce or less risk to invest your money to the scam project.

Be careful when you work on other people's computers. Alertness is always needed. So make it sure that your passwords are not saved in other people's browsers. This is only one rule.

scams will continue to exist, i am afraid. but we can reduce their numbers by reporting each other in time, by bringing awarness of how to study the information about the project, by mutual help in other words
