We all knew attacks would come.  I don't think anyone is surprised about defects in quality of third party sub-contracted work.
I must agree the 3 party quality. Almost nothing letf from original code.
But be noted, they fail the mission and cost nothing.

Attacks actually prove that they take exchange serious enough to attack and try to gain something.
Maybe not good choice of contract coders. But in future you should still considered professionals do some work for you if necessary.

Nice to see a comprehensive post Halibit and that you managed to sort things out.

Promotion is difficult at this point.

The best way to get people use an exchange is to offer something new or better.
Leverage could be something new but if we have not the volume for this feature, we cannot promote the exchange if it!

Another way is to offer coins someone wants to buy but cannot because it is not listed on any other exchange.

This is what we are currently doing and that’s the point why we add new coins instead of the big ones.
No one will register to trade DRK on alcurEX !
We were on a good path as the incident happened with nearly 10 BTC in volume with one single coin and other markets increasing but with the downtime we missed this train.
We will get more chances and we will use them to get bigger.

If we would add all the coins from the voting we had more dead markets. That’s nothing we need now.

If someone will help promote this exchange and has good ideas, you can contact me via private message or post something in the developer's forum!

open a thread in marketplace, explain in detail the leverage a few of the things you might want to do.

I must admit I am also a bit surprised by some of the crappy coin which were added.
Deepcoin is a good coin, but some of the new additions, I would not even download the wallet...
Try adding a few cryptonight... also.

may-be find a few coin to do their IPO on alcurex  Grin (that's only half a joke, because there is clearly advantage for the exchange in doing this no matter how scammy the coinis ... poloniex does it, bittrex does it (a little too much)... so why not alcurex...)

edit: I can't be more against this practice as a customer, but as a share holder  Grin hey why not  Grin

I don’t like your tone .. insults don’t help anyone
If you thought that this could something were you could make fast and easy money I can tell you that you failed!
Please keep in mind that alcurEX is still a completely different project than microcoin.
Sure, we try to boost MRC with the features of an exchange but this thread is not the place to complain about MRC its issues.
The current coin adding are not for the stakeholder or MRC whales, they are for attracting new user and show them that alcurEX is a safe place to trade.

See this guy's signature. Referral links. A clue?
This is a topic were we talked a lot about. The incident involved lot of work and now we can focus on new stuff to improve the alcurEXperience

Maybe I was rude, but some things were written here from many users many times, and you did nothing.
And halibit said that you are new marketing guy, but you didn't do much - 8 posts here and few tweets. Still no marketing. You got 70 BTC. You didn't pay anything for coding, just for servers. Maybe you should use some of the money for real advertising?
Not completely different project. Even presented by you guys as very connected projects. And maybe even more importantly, if you abandoned mrc, why you wouldn't abandon alcurex. You are the same people and your attitude towards mrc is very important. It would took you 10 minutes to change and update data  here and on alcurex.info.

This is a topic were we talked a lot about. The incident involved lot of work and now we can focus on new stuff to improve the alcurEXperience

Good to hear you will do something, as price of shares are just 10% of initial or 5% of highest price.

PS: I'm not sure why you didn't have time to do your marketing job. You are not the one taking care of coding and server stuff, are you?

You are right, there was no big marketing campaign or anything else you could notice.

My work in the last days was to help organizing things in the background.
I talked with people directly and suggested some marketing ideas.

Most of them need some coding on the website to get them going and halibit is currently busy implementing more important stuff.

You have to be patient and let us do our work.
Complaining will not help us.

I will do my best to make this exchange a success!

Personal and perhaps frivolous  Observations about the new site:

The tabs for each coin would be easier on the eye if there was shading on them. Plus the blue font on blue background is too muted. There should be enough contrast for the letters to really POP off the screen.

Volume is low (yes, Mr. Obvious here), and as a new site you may want to implement a Trollbox ASAP. This is a single factor that can have a very big impact on driving traffic to your platform.
