So you are intentionally planning to be lower on the coin quality standards than any existing exchange.  Sounds awesome.

I can think of any a handful of decent coins that haven't made it onto an exchange for one reason or another, but I'm assuming your plan is to target 0day coin releases and this will be shitcoin launchpad.

There are actually quite a few innovative cryptos that just launched or will be launched soon - qora, simcoin, slimcoin to name a few.

Being an early exchange of such handpicked premium coins can actually a good differentiation from other exchanges out there with standard copy/paste trading noise.

Unfortunately the adding of new coins will have to be delayed again. There are some problems with 2FA and e-mail changing.
The first new coins will be added as soon as these problems are completely fixed, which is most likely tomorrow.

We are mainly going to add new coins that are preferably not on any other exchange yet.
We believe this to be the best strategy to start with until we have more volume and services.

So you are intentionally planning to be lower on the coin quality standards than any existing exchange.  Sounds awesome.

We're not going to add every coin that's released, just the ones that seem most potential at the time.
Sometimes there are better coins released and sometimes worse.

It is important to add coins at a frequent rate to gather a loyal customer base.
After that customer base is established it's possible to cut down the rate at which new coins are added and focus more on additional services.

+1

the first goal is to attract people and generate volume.

If his has to be done through new coins so be it.

Alcurex is open for business, this is great news!
Well done MRC & co

Wasn't there a vote between shareholders on CS, regarding the new coin?
Please refrain from adding every new untested piece of crap that is floating in the altcoin scene.

Cant you guys just add the high volume ones for a start?

Ok, this is alive and kicking.

3. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
All users have 2FA on by default.

2FA by default should be the new norm.

Do you think you could implement sms 2fa? i would rather have two independent devices doing this.

Also, others have asked, can we move forward with stable and established coins, that have an acknowledged devteam and a community behind them ?

Although, shareholders can benefit massively from P&Ds, i'm not sure that a reputation can be built on that.

I like the idea for a launchpad for new coins.
Mintpal and Poloniex were that, when they started and see where they are now!
For everything else, you have Craptsy to trade.

I am still missing a MRC / BTC market and it doesn't seem like anything is being traded at the moment.
I guess people are caucious in the first days.

This should be normal, for a new place.
Also, it is only tuesday, i would guess that fiat needs some time to move around.

+1. We should ride the anonymity wave, it's creating the most volume by far these days.

[ATH] Atheistcoin and [PYRA] Pyramidscoin have been added to the exchange.
There were some initial problems with the wallets but now they work.

More coins coming tomorrow!

We will add most voted and high volume coins too, but first we add some new one and maybe open leverage trading first.

I think, customer will start using alcurEX, if there is new coins / new options / better to use / safer / faster...etc than other places.
But we are also looking for new blood in altcoin community. For that... spread your ideas in dev forum.

For the leverage option, is there any risk for Alcurex to lose the lent coins? Or is it that if it goes down after the person borrowed, it is automatically withdrawn from his account?

No risk for exchange. Automatically withdrawn from his account.

Few new coins added.

Is it normal for the MRC / LTC graph to have these values?

3e-7
4e-7 ?
I guess it is bug and it is showing HEX or something.

Please see screenshot.

It is not a bug.
Chart is made show under 6 decimal numbers like e-7.
Which means 7 decimals.
example 4e-7 = 0.00000040.
