Every investor in the modern crypto market seeks to earn income. Therefore, it begins to invest its money in promising projects. Unfortunately, there are many scammers on the ICO market today, so the risk of error remains too high. I very much hope that in the coming years we will be able to eliminate this problem.

Personally I don't that anyone will put his or her hard earn money into a scam project, many do not know what will become of an ICO before putting there money in it.People invest in ICO all in the name of making profit but these ICO turn out to be a scam if people should have the any idea that a particular ICO is a scam,no one will go close to it not matter how good the project looks

Some people are just too naive, but most of the people investing in wrong ICOs do not perform sufficient research before.

Here are a few tips to be verified to avoid being scammed during ICOs:
- team's experience
- other websites references to the project
- social media activity
- milestones already succeeded
- Whitepaper

Greed, the common nature of all ICO investors.
This is a very dangerous thinking. Usually this kind of thinking is caused by the cryptocurrency bull market. People will lose judgment on the cryptocurrency market. When Bitcoin is $20,000, many people think that Bitcoin will rise to $100,000.

the current situation is different by the time before. many people who carelessly and get in on the ICO is wrong and this because of their own fault for not having substantial both in analyzing the ICO. so quite reasonable if encountered if ICO scam could get the funds are great because they usually make or promise great results but only fabricated just to attract attention.

Yes, this is a very correct question, because it is such questions that unfortunately arise today. It is terrible that this happens, but today it is a fact that we must study. Because we need to solve this problem, otherwise the market will die.

It is not that easy to spot the fraudulent ICOs, specially for newbie members they can easily get trapped in these projects. Initially, these scam projects do spend a lot of money for advertisement, so it is very difficult to spot whether they are legit or scam.

The projects I know from 2017 and 2018 have now become scam, of course they succeed ICO and pay full for bounty. But after a period of operation, their project was dead. so ICO died in 2018

As far as I heard, the ICO Scam raised over $ 1 billion. Why did people invest in these ICO? Do you think this situation has changed now?
There were alot of promising ICOS that make every investors blinded.Same as bounty hunters, alot of scam ICOS profited on a free promotion by bounty hunters.Nowadays there were alot of Scam ICOS that have made those people behind it instantly rich and suddenly it dissappears.Hoping these new year they will be gone and every scam projects would end.

The answer is simple, it reason is because they don't know that it was a fraudulent ICO before investing, because  know there is nobody that will know a scam ICO and still go ahead and invest in it.

At ICO stage no one really knows if the project is scam/fraud, there is no exact analysis on how to determine whether the project is legit or not. And given the fact that the project gives a lot of hype on the community. But there is one thing for sure, investors learned from these past mistakes and they will never fell in that trap again.

Dead project doesn't necessarily means a scam project though. It is more like a natural selection, that is also ways to be an investor and finding proper investment is the harfest thing thereis because if it is as easy as warren buffet said. Everyone would be a millionaire.

Dude, nobody invests in a project if it's fraud. We're all human beings and we make mistakes. You never made a mistake in your life? But now investors are doing more research, so they are less likely to be swindled.

And spent all of the time to get a lot of information from the various sources. So far it will need a lot of time to identifying an ico. But it's much better rather than randomly speculating an ico if that was including in a good list of ico.

Don't judge good ico project only depending by millions and billion raised. Because i know that some projects which raised 50 millions dollar but this is fraudulent scam project and investors lost money. And many project saying they raised millions dollar it just for marketing strategy i think.

Fake things have good glare. All of us gets attracted to the glare and get trapped. It needs an experience to stay away from these frauds.

Oh, yes. Unfortunately, some projects turn to be something like Christmas tree decorations. The holiday is over, and they become useless, even turn into trash. You have to be very cautious and attentive when choosing an ICO.

They invest just because they want to make a profit, nobody knows that the project will be a scam, if they know ,they will not invest, investment is always risky!

I do not think that someone purposefully wants to give their money to fraudsters. It’s just that many of us lack the knowledge and luck to avoid such deception. Therefore, I believe that the ICO market today really needs certain principles and methods of regulation in order to minimize risks for investors.

There were no ICO that has raised 1 billion USD in a token sale. There were cases that ICOs have raised around 30-50 millions USD, have distributed tokens, but have never released any product or an update yet.
