Honestly I don't get the hostility. I am apologising to him for any miscommunications we had and if he fully wants to actually talk it's public. People can go back and check what was said. I might come across a little brash and harsh at times but I am not trying to cause any divide, and with the things that he is saying it's very clear he is upset.

I am sorry for making you upset moonpool. Want to move together as a team or not? That's the important part.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

flappycoin, can you please edit the 1st page of this thread so it doesn't say released April 18th next to the 2.0.1 wallet? That is going to confuse exchanges if I reach out to them and they check this page.
And we wonder why I am so annoyed here?
I posted almost 4 times before you guys released this new source about how I had no clue what github we were on and how no one knows what source we are supposed to be using.
This is still the case.
Is this coin called flapcoin now?
https://github.com/FlapCoin/flapcoin
That is what it is according to whatever this github supposedly is.

That isnt even the original github, this is: https://github.com/flappycoin-project/flappycoin
No. It's still flappycoin.

The correct fork/github is flapcoin due to at the time we we're rebranding. But we no longer need rebranding as old devs came back and gave over rights. We didn't have access to certain things and still don't, so the correct github fork is flapcoin.

https://github.com/FlapCoin

We can and will change the name back once we get all areas under control. We have been given full control of 90% of material, old devs still wanted to wait before changing over one or two other things for the full take over and switch over.

I don't want to fight and I am sorry moonpool if no one contacted you. But we can't do this, not now. A week ago we could of argued like cats and dogs, but after the delay and issues it's important to get this tested and out/have everyone on board.
lol.
"rebranding" is the new word for hijack I guess? That didn't go well so you had to stick with flappycoin?
Hmmm.
90%? What on earth does that even mean?
I seriously don't see what the hell you guys are trying to do here, looks like you are trying to kill it even more than it already was.

I believe we may be having a communication problem.

What was said: We we're doing rebranding for a hostile take over. However old developers came back, liked our ideas, couldn't do the work any more and decided to give over control. So that means rebranding is no longer needed.

...so you were going to hijack, got stopped, old devs cant be fucked with it anymore and 'gave you control' but didnt bother giving you the website or the github.

If you cant work out why people have a problem with this, you have bigger problems than arguing with moonpool over here.

Is this the official build we are all moving too? I don't feel comfortable updating a pool to a github that is just posted by a random person.

you don't trust "thimo" and called him random person but you allow his coin (slothcoin) to be mined on your pool? this is a community and we should trust each other! the miner trusted you and your pool because you are listed on the 1st post so don't act like you own the coin!

He isnt acting like he owns the coin, he has a duty to protect the people mining on his pool. If he updates to this fork and then it turns out to be all bluster and no balls, he then has to explain to all his users why they have been wasting hash power on a make believe chain. If you think like a pool owner, you can see why he has some serious issues with this. Someone with no access to the website, the github or any discernible link to any of the original devs posts an updated wallet that will cause a hard fork on this coin without bothering to inform him (someone whose pool has something like 35% of the total network hash) and then gets arsey when called up on it?

It would be a negligent pool owner to just update blindly and hope for the best.

Sigh.

Yup that's clearly what I said didn't happen but after explaining what happened if this is going to be the continued response I have to just apologise you feel that way and move on.

I guess we can't work out things, miningwith.us will be removed from all posts and people informed to leave it.

To clarify: We we're going to hijack. Got the communities support. We wanted to rebrand to stop issues with anything legal. Old developer came back, seen all the work we we're doing and due to issues and legalities began to give over control.

I and a few others control reddit through to the facebook accounts. We are not using the old website, flappycoin.info is being posted to the new website. I won't post link just because we don't want to cause confusion or people rushing to it.

The only thing I never got control of was github and even then it's because of moderating between you guys and them.

Don't try to twist peoples words.

Sorry for people reading this. This is getting out of hand.

Also just one more clarification. Website was left NOT UPDATED FOR A REASON. So old people can get the wallet/compile if need be while we worked on the new version for the switch over. To which I am getting DNS switched now.

i think the obvious next move is for the original dev to now hand over the github control, or at least update with the new wallet, which should not be a problem since they (the original dev) are onboard with all the changes Smiley

Exactly. Like for some reason people hate the answer "Devs gave over 90%, but wanted to wait before changing the other 10% until after this occurs" which is maddening. Which makes sense. We didn't want confusion or people attempting to build the new wallet on the website, and in all areas we posted the new fork we made sure we let people know what was happening and this is a community thing for testing purposes.

I also did let a lot of people down, and some people are upset that I am in charge now. Though I don't believe it's fair(Considering after wards our market is 3x what it was, and we are much further now then we would of ever been in the past. The old developer was not coming back), it's fair to hate me, it's fair to blame me, but it isn't fair to punish the community because you are unwilling to work with an individual.

Stop saying sorry and just fix it dude. Burning bridges with all the people that used to use this coin before you were here is not the way to go (lol @ making a sticky about my pool and removing the irc of all things)
Update the website/github and get everyone(CRYPTSY ESPECIALLY) on the same page and this never happened.

Sounds to me that you both have exactly the same goal here. Lets get that github updated and get this show on the road Wink

You guys are completely missing where I'm coming from here.
thimo is a perfectly fine dev and im completely happy with him taking this over(DUH IM MINING HIS COIN, OBVIOUSLY I LIKE THE GUY), however, you cant just CHANGE GITHUBS, that would be like trying to move dogecoin's github to dogcoin, theres a reason github is used, there is a reason the versions exist, there is a reason you have commits.
You guys didn't even UPDATE the website before trying to use the new github and then you changed the OP suddenly.
This is literally a takeover.

First of all why you assumed i'm one them or even i'm on their side? I completely agree with you about new github and main-domain's mess but you missing the point too! the old dev handover some stuff to new team and disappear again! the community constantly pressure the new team to release a new wallet before 100K and seems the new team doing their best! you are trying to say the new team ain't acting professional but you must accept the community isn't acting professional either! if they wait for old-dev and do nothing everyone say they are worse than old-dev! if they try to do something someone like you will accuse them for stealing the coin and even threaten them! so please be more supportive Smiley

yeah some miss the fact that the old dev was leaving the coin to die ! , this is the best way for it to survive, keep up the good work, the old dev was so missing in action the coin almost died, that is FACT !

best thing is to get the github back, but if not ? ..just let it die ?

I'm mostly a Dogecoin guy but keep lots of Flap.  If you all can just fix things there's no reason Flappycoin can't at least equal Doge's valuation.  From what I see the original developer just kind of faded but won't completely cut loose and people have to pick up the pieces as best they can despite the situation.  Seems like the team is doing a pretty good job: pool owners, exchange owners, etc. should try to understand that things are going to be a little rough around the edges until everything is sorted out.  Without the new team's work Flappycoin would have died soon anyway.  There's no buy pressure on Cryptsy because the coin is under 1 satoshi and even on Poloniex there really aren't that many litoshi orders.  It is basically accept some changes and or just watch whatever money Flappycoin retains just wisp away.

BIG WINNER!

We are working on that. It won't be edited, there's a new website launching. I am waiting on the old developer to respond back for changing the DNS information.

To avoid confusion we won't post website here till DNS is pointed towards it. The old website is hosted on a VPS that will be disabled afterwards. Flappycoin.info will point to a new address.
