There is no reason to believe it should remain so for a long time, because everything evolves so quickly in the crypto scene these days, so you better start learning about others and analyzing them. 2014 will be an interesting year when some crypto currencies might detach themselves from bitcoin and its price patterns. The first likely candidates are Dogecoin and NXT. Check them out and tell us what you think about them.

I had a question on dogecoin.  Many people consider it a joke (large amount of coins etc.)  Is doge really a joke or legit competition?  NXT, darkcoin, zerocoin, litecoin, ethereum thoughts?

They will detach when media and network effect brings enough users of those altcoins into them. These new users would support enough infrastructure to discover prices of those altcoins gradually in a more independant from bitcoin fashion, especially considering that bitcoin is way overpriced compared to those altcoins but essentially provides the same functions (as Dogecoin) or fewer functions (than NXT). Hence, gradual detachment has to happen.

Set a 6 months chart or 1year and see another picture! Its +199% for 6 month chart, for 2 year is +9600% !!
Finally, are you now saying bitcoin won't die, only btc price will go down? You see, there is a BIG difference in this two.
China pumped the price in november but we had another high before china in april prior bubble burst. Even withot china btc price can be over 300$.
We are just back on the main trend - it won't go under 300$.
