Hope this is legit, just dropped .25btc on more DOPE, and turned the miner back on it. Large buy orders on Mintpal now, looks like others saw the post here.

ok, I have been monitoring the coin for the last while and I think for sure the KGW is not correctly working.

pool.dopecoin reporting av block time as - 41 seconds, much lower than 60 second block.  Which makes sense because earlier this is what was happening

So much lower network hash but higher difficulty, and the reported block time was 1 min 20 seconds.


My understanding of KGW may not be completely accurate but something seems off in this case.  As network hash rises so should diff and vice versa, this does not seem to be what is happening and the average block time is indicating the same.  I am not even sure if this is a problem at all, but I have not seen this happen with other KGW coins. Although maybe I was not looking as close as I was at this coin.

Thoughts?

I have been noticing this as well, very often the difficulty on https://cointweak.com/calculator/index/scrypt is unnaturally high (10+) for only a few minutes after which it returns to it's base (4-5).

Yes there are weird ramp-ups of diff that are not reflected in the network hash.  And there are low diffs which are associated with high hashrates (which might just be a reflection of when I was taking numbers from the wallet ie: diff is low from previous block and network hash has gone up before the next block).

It is still strange compared to other KGW coins methinks.

edit: was typing while you replied , i feel like this would also be a got solution for everyone else having similliar problems since most of the times you dont change pool settings anyways and they can then be paied out instantly

That's right folks, DopeCoin is now accepted into it's first real world brick and mortar business with locations in both Italy and Spain.

It's with great pleasure that I would like to announce DopeCoin's first retail partner SuperNatural.

SuperNatural is a local bong and accessories shop with locations in both Spain and Italy.
DopeCoin's can be used to purchase anything in the shop ranging from mushroom kits to vaporizers. They are currently developing an online store to support users but for now purchases can be made by stopping by either of they're physical locations.

This is a big step forward for the DopeCoin community. Thank you to all of our early supporters for your belief in this project and seeing this day come to light. Big things are about to happen folks, it's time to officially start getting excited.

We hope the next step is to create some bounties for such things or there might be one already in the works we shall see!

Yes we are actively looking for a reputable Android dev at the moment and there will be a bounty available for that project.
Much has been accomplished but there is still a tremendous amount that needs to be done.

We have hit some large milestones in a very reasonable amount of time. It's a shame that the actual development time took so long and we did not meet the LeafCoin team earlier, those guys are awesome!

It's going to happen folks, I'm glad I'm able to share these early days with the DopeCoin community.
