These last few updates will bring our technical infrastructure to a highly competitive level compared to the rest of the altcoin community and is a wonderful achievement to of accomplished this soon after launch.

I'd like to extend my gratitude to my development team and the folks over at Leafcoin (aaronm and temp) for they're amazing efforts.

Infrastructure complete.
Marketing and advertising well underway with many milestones hit.
Now it is time to complete the final leg of the journey and to bring big business on board.

As for the low prices and low hash rates, all I can say is consider this an amazing opportunity rather than a negative.

Thank you to the community for your support and belief in our ability to deliver. We will not let you down!

Nice to see some fresh faces here too folks, a warm welcome from the DopeCoin community.

Warm regards,

Dopey

POS means that mining will stop and we will earn coins holding them in the wallet right?

Don't be rude, stop staring at my brows.

no not at all

It is an electronic point of sale API for merchants.

To clarify a bit further, this has nothing to do with mining operations or proof of stake. Apologies for the confusion.

The ePOS API will allow merchants to accept DopeCoins on they're website through a more automated system that provides online wallets and current market prices.
This is a step up from what we can currently offer merchants who are currently accepting DopeCoin through a manual transaction process.

Hope that helps clear things up.

If you have any more questions please feel free to ask.

Perfect.  A shopping API is def. needed as this is what merchants asks the most right now. Good job Dopey!

Mmm, why? In fact, it looks like less coins are hitting the marketplace, meaning less dilution, meaning higher prices.... Anyway, i really would like to URGE DEV to change to scrypt Jane or another type, as currently the normal scrypt mining is dying... The coins that are being bought are the coins that doesn't use standard scrypting... It is really important that DEV recognize this problem, travelling all around the world and promoting the coin is all good and nice, but the dilution is just killing us, and how longer he wait, how more difficult it will become to get the price higher...

You know, if you want to be successful, then you need to follow what the markets want from you... it is no good to close your eyes and ignore the signs that miners are giving.

As i said, DEV is a great guy, but he needs to understand that he need to adjust based on market conditions. The world will not adjust based on his requirements, he needs to adjust.

Where is the proof of scrypt mining dying? There are still many GigaHashes worth of scrypt miners active http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency/?sort=hashrate&dir=desc
Mining in general is taking a big loss, if you take a look at your local techsite/ebay you probably see that a lot of AMD cards are being sold. Miners are losing faith in the profitability of their coins and they step out of mining. This makes no difference wether you are on Scryot, Scrypt-N or Scrypt-Jane. The only ones that keep steady is Sha-256 because people are not going to sell their asics they bought before they have their loss made back.

There really should not be made any hasty decisions that influence the life and value of the coin this much.
