All this talk about switching algos, halving the coin, making drastic changes to accommodate lower volume are simply not going to happen and in my opinion is the wrong direction to take.

This coin needs more users, more retailers and more miners, simple as that!

If doesn't need to be ripped apart and rearranged to accommodate lower volume, that is not how you push growth.

We need more demand, not less supply.
We attack! We don't defend!

Demand for this coin is not something that will slowly build. It is something that will explode as soon as the right "big business" retailers are brought on board and the infrastructure is in place to allow brand new users to quickly and easily enter the marketplace.

Currently my dutch business partner from one of my real world businesses is personally visiting some childhood friends / coffeeshop owners and I am excited to see what kind of results he can produce.

Are there scrypt ASICs out that aren't vaporware?  From what I've seen, they don't provide a significant hash advantage over GPUs, just power savings.

Funny you should mentioned this. I used to run a BTC service like this so I'm currently looking into how to make this happen.  I'll let you know what I find . Also this could help cannabis dispensaries  as the card could be the "bank" for them instead of holding on to all that cash they just withdraw when needed . Good suggestion.

Bitcoin has also survived asics and has reached a higher value then ever before asics came. So every coin you mine right now is a small fortune once a coin lives after asics get released.

^^ This a thousand times over ^^.  There is a lot of behind the scenes going on that peeps here might not know about ( like new users reaching out to us personally )  but will surface sooner or later so hold tight and believe in the DopeCoin team folks. As Dopey said if the technology needs to change to fit the climate or the business model it will be executed in a professional and transparent manner for all.  The infrastructure is getting in place to thrive in the environment Dopey is setting up for all of us.

Well... I would'nt call it "just" power savings, since power is the biggest expense for any miner. Its like calling a car that runs on sea water to be just fuel saving. Gridseed is already out for over a month and approximately matches the price/MH ratio of GPUs with about a tenth of the power consumed.
