No that is it bud, it will not require anymore than a wallet update from users.
Many coins have forked far various reasons, including bitcoin, litecoin, dogecoin and hundreds of others.

I don't think I've ever mined/bought a coin and have it forked later. Anything important to do other than update the wallet to the new wallet and wait for it to resync?
I've done it many times easy -peasy. A lot of alt-coins do it.

Great.... the last thing I need at this point is seeing a mysteriously empty wallet when high.... with a ever so slow zoom in to the zeros Always remember to back up your wallet BEFORE undertaking any tasks involving your coin's software... I always say, "If it's worth anything, save (at least) TWO copies of it." I learned the "save" lesson the hard way a long time ago...I had been working on a 3D animation for about 10 hours, it was looking really good, and then my computer crashed (AMD P75 with 8mb ram; told you it was a long time ago lol)...when I rebooted and re-opened my project, only what was saved prior to my most recent 10 hours of work was saved; the rest lost...I was quite pissed, to say the least lol...needless to say, I became a fanatic for hitting the 'save' button while working on stuff Every time I back up my wallets I keep 4 copies of each... USB sticks are cheap... "If it's worth anything, save (at least) TWO copies of it."

Ya man, losing work like that is like flushing your time down the toilet...it sucks That's why I emphasize fanatical saving of wallet files...not only is it our money, but if you're a miner it's also time and effort that you lose if you don't have a back up copy of your shit... I tell people, "You can waste my money or waste my weed; I can always get more of those...but DO NOT, under any circumstance, waste my time, EVER; I can never regain time lost."

I know what you mean.... I'm into video editing, and I could be a millionaire if I got a dopecoin for every time a project crashed and do a re-edit of the damn thing. And its NEVER going to be the same again when you redo something, while mentally bitching at the situation

Yeah, I keep at least 5 backup copies. I've been through hard disk failures before, and learned the hard way. Ya I've had files lost or corrupted due to bad hard drive sectors and shit, too...man, it sucks...especially when it's not your fault... It's good to post tips like this for people because not only can we learn from our own mistakes and misfortunes, but we can also learn from those of others

I think a hard disk failure is the closest thing to feeling like you just got raped in a dark alley

yeah i been replying to a few its a pain to signup for all of them though. but it is interesting info. Would like to see more popularity on the dopecoin side thats for sure. I would also like to recommend keeping an eye on x11 algo and darksend (darkcoin). as this may be a viable option for dopecoin to become a more transparent coin therefore a more viable option vs potcoin. Could help win the dope vs pot war? Just an idea. Would require maybe an adjustment in reward so that it doesnt devalue what you have now (due to increased hashrates). But is still an interesting idea. I like dope and will always pass along what i see .
