Looks like hosting on https://chainz.cryptoid.info/funk/ expires today, is there an alternative block explorer out there?

Is there a list of active FUNK pools?

ty for updating the cryptoid stuff Smiley

analyzing the peers list on chainz.cryptoid.info, I got these:

http://178.194.20.156/site/block?id=1207
http://p2p.0x0a.nl/#about/coin/cypherfunks
http://45.63.20.216/site/block?id=1207
http://coincave.nl/funkstats.php
http://81.7.13.208/site/block?id=1207

I'm sure there's more, because that doesn't account for the latest blocks. Might be good to get someone like suprnova or MiningPoolHub on board!

You're welcome. I'll certainly try to get in touch with both, i think it's a great idea.
Also, we will create a new FUNK pool in a few days - expecting ETA from the dev tomorrow. Smiley

What does everyone use to mine FUNK? Is it still small enough to mine with a reasonable video card or do you need professional mining equipment for it to be profitable?

The block rewards didn't seem to be, but given the frequency it does add up to a very nice reward for the current miners.

Okay, as we promised:

The Cypherfunks has updated to 0.15.1!
This release brings about several enhancements and introduces new features such as HD wallets (for new wallets) to bring it much closer to Bitcoin's codebase.
We've also got Dark Gravity Wave v3 difficulty adjustment algorithm activating at block 926795 (approximately May 20th, 2018) which makes the network block emission more consistent
by removing the broken Kimoto Gravity Well algorithm from the mining process.
At the same time, block 926795, we enable enforcement of BIP65 and BIP66 - which enables decentralized exchanges like Komodo's Barterdex and Blocknet to be integrated.
It also enables atomic swaps!

Wallet releases can be found on Github at https://github.com/The-Cypherfunks/The-Cypherfunks/releases/tag/0.15.1
Pick your flavor!

Also help us spread the word through miners and pools about the update. We'll inform Cryptopia and Novaexchange.

In case you haven't gotten any peers yet -
Go to help -> debug console
Type in "addnode <ip:port> add"
Where <ip:port> is one or more of the nodes below

62.59.168.89:33666
149.202.102.73:33666
149.210.168.71:33666
192.169.6.147:33666
23.94.55.149:33666
82.200.205.30:33666
109.105.40.15:33666
104.200.67.31:33666
78.248.188.112:33666
81.7.13.208:33666
93.195.217.158:33666

You can then take one of the ones you added and do "addnode <ip:port> onetry" to get an immediate connection to any specific node out there.

Just note, these are already hardcoded into the client so it should automatically pick them up after a few minutes.

Interesting Technical Analysis
https://coincheckup.com/coins/the-cypherfunks/overview

But they do have the wrong markets listed...  Probably look much better if they were up to date.

I like the concept, but it looks like a bunch of musos and tech nerds had a great idea with FUNK, but forgot to actually connect the two together, what is the point of owning FUNK?

If you own FUNK, you'll be able to change it soon for the new ETH token - Soniq, in 1000:1 ratio.
I recommend you to check the last ~10 pages for more info.

I think his main question is; what gives the token value? Can you buy music with it for example?

Exactly, I love the decentralised band and music idea, but what is the economics behind FUNK? From what i can tell the FUNK currency is not needed for the music project, so why would people buy it?

I like the vibe here, and I have a small bag of FUNK, so it would be great to see the economic side of the project explained a bit more.

I agree; although it's hard to see any other way than up with a new website and whitepaper coming for Soniq, FUNK wallet being updated and the upcoming coin burn. Even without a clear use case..

Does anyone know if the current circulating supply on CMC is accurate?

In the continuous improvement of the project, we saw the efforts of the project team, believing that 2018 was a year of rapid development of FUNK.
