Just don't forget about https://www.cryptoaltex.com The first exchange who gave BC a shot, has done tons of volume, and (for me anyways), has worked rather flawlessly. We ought to continue supporting such places via continued trades. I agree. It's a great new exchange and the dev is a nice guy.

Jabulon - 50000 at 1% per annum is 500 per year. 500/365 days per year is 1.36986301369863 per day
This cannot be right. I just got 4,025 BC in my Stake column. But I only have 365,441 in my Balance. If it was 1% per annum then I should only get 3,654 Stake per annum, or about 10 BC per day. So how did I get 4,025 already??

What Dev As someone with a MSc in Finance I am at a loss as to how the developer[Rat] has not explained the POS in any detail that is not subject to wild speculation on this thread. The opening post says 1% pa but others say 1% per 8hours which when compounded is exponential...some others says 1% per 8hr period for those with open unlocked wallets selected at random. No one can accurately value this coin without these basic questions answered and I am issuing a warning not to invest unless you yourself can answer the below questions: The major questions to the developer are: 1) When do untouched balances stake [days] ? 2) Will all wallets with untouched balances stake ?3) If the answer to quest#2 is NO then which qualifying wallets will stake?4) Is the qualification by random selection ?5) If not all qualified wallets stake, what proportion of the 100,000,000 coins will stake ?6) When an amount is staked how long will this amount collect interest ?7) Is the stake interest rate 1% per annum, per 8 hours, etc, etc ?8. Will locked wallets stake ? 9) Will encrypted wallets stake ? 10) Will unopened wallets stake ? WARNING: The developer has a duty to clearly outline the POS parameters of his COINLet's start out with a disclaimer: I'm butthurt because i sold 50k coins for about 1 btc.
What in the hell is going on with this coin? It's popular because hashco ws and middlecoin say so? Are we really taken for a ride this easily? What happens when someone releases a coin with this coins exact same specs 14 days from now? It crashes unless Hashco ws mines it? Why is blackcoin worth 3x as much as any coin on the coinwar z list?
Yeah, absent dev, instamined by multi-pools and rig renters, ddossed to death. I'm not buying this one for at least a month after the hype ends. what do you mean absent dev? did he leave the project?

Mine went up over time - must have been 8 hours since the last movement or something. I've sinced received small mined stake payments, but not many. It does feel a bit lotteryish.

So the Stake column is how many coins qualify for Stake, not how many new coins I have received because of stake - got it! Also noticed a few small credits, 0.06 BC, 0.12 BC, quite a lot of these. These are my 'earnings' for coins that qualify as Stake. Got it!!! This is COOL!!!

You drove all the way to another country to test if your wallet would work? I would keep on going, maybe there is a country out there, somewhere...

Did those of you who have staked coins, did you do anything out of the ordinary? I would figure my one wallet that has had 10,000 coins since the first hour should be staking, but it isn't. Edit : Nevermind, my coins are starting to stake!

Lol, thanks, I thought so. You use reply instead of quote, so the post you are responding to does not appear above your entry. Anyway, thanks for running the calculation for me. Actually, I think I have about 75k with what I've mined, and I'm still unclear as hell about how the PoS calculation actually needs to be done. The presentation seemed a bit unclear. I guess we'll find out soon enough, by the empirical method.

Edit : Nevermind, my coins are starting to stake! My wallet has been open since I started mining a few days ago. I've not stopped or restarted it, the Stake just started working. This is amazing - I know it's a small level of interest but amazing to be getting free coins lol! Also, the earnings from the stake will also count as staked coins, now I get the compounding interest idea! So this is not, 1% per annum, someone good at maths out there can surely work this out quick easily

I'm not exactly sure how the POS / minted / steaked coins work either, but I've found something interesting.
My wallet is unlocked, but im not seeing anything yet. BUT, after entering "getinfo" into the console I noticed this. (Difficulty for proof-of-stake)
I entered it 3 times over the space of an hour or two.
1st "proof-of-work" : 403.77761733, "proof-of-stake" : 0.04620594
2nd
"proof-of-work" : 399.02390296, "proof-of-stake" : 0.20841416
3rd
"proof-of-work" : 318.90510949, "proof-of-stake" : 0.16836483
4th, 2mins after
"proof-of-work" : 497.58163538, "proof-of-stake" : 0.16807121
Can anyone explain this? At first I thought it might be falling to 0, or rising, but it seems random.

I guess when people move coins around, that resets their 8 hour timer on that batch of coins. So less coins would be eligible for stake lowering difficulty? That's just a total guess though on my part.
